Supported Applications
The Omega TPN7 Series consists of flanged immersion heaters designed for custom size and shape flange configurations. These units feature tubular heating elements silver brazed or TIG welded to a flange cut from steel or stainless steel plate. Documented applications include hot air dryers, dehumidifying dryers, heat exchange systems, water and water solutions, steam tables, and air heating.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The TPN7 Series is offered with a 6-1/2" (165.1 mm) diameter steel flange configuration containing six elements arranged in either one or two circuits. Element sheath materials include Incoloy® 800 and Copper. Power ratings range from 9 KW to 15 KW depending on the model, with watt densities varying between 7.4 Watt/cm² (48 Watt/in²) for copper sheaths up to 10.9 Watt/cm² (70 Watt/in²). The series is supplied with a NEMA 1 Enclosure rating.
Configuration Options
The TPN7 Series supports multiple electrical configurations and physical dimensions tailored to specific process needs:
- Voltage & Phase Options: Models are available for 208V-3Ph, 230V-3Ph, 460V-3Ph, and 575V-3Ph. Heaters can be factory rewired for 230V-3PH.
- Circuit Configurations: Available in 1 Circuit or 2 Circuits arrangements.
- Sheath Materials: Incoloy® 800 and Copper options are offered to match media compatibility requirements.
- Housing & Flange: The flange is constructed from steel or stainless steel plate. Custom engineered heaters can be designed for specific requirements upon request.
- Dimensions: For the 2-circuit configuration, dimension B varies from 432 mm (17 in) to 711 mm (28 in).
- Weight Range: Units weigh between 4.5 kg (10 lb) and 5.4 kg (12 lb), depending on the model.
The series is supplied with a gasket (GSK-102-103).

Variants within the TPN7 Series are distinguished by voltage, circuit count, sheath material, and power output. The 6½" Diameter Steel Flange with 6 Incoloy® 800 Elements in a single circuit configuration includes models such as TPN01706 (9 KW) and TPN01707 (12 KW). The two-circuit configurations offer expanded voltage options including 208V-3Ph, 460V-3Ph, 575V-3Ph, and 230V-3Ph. Specific models like TPN01448 through TPN01459 provide power ratings of 9 KW to 12 KW with Incoloy® 800 sheaths or Copper sheaths (e.g., TPN01319, TPN01321). The highest wattage variant listed is the 15 KW model (TPN01457/TPN01459) with a copper sheath and an overall dimension B of 711 mm (28 in).
