Supported Applications

The FLT93L FlexSwitch is an in-line thermal dispersion switch for monitoring flow, level, and temperature in industrial processes. Its in-line body is designed for extremely low flow applications, and because thermal dispersion sensing uses no moving parts, the switch reliably drives alarm or control outputs with little maintenance.

The device is a configurable sensor suitable for gas and liquid service in both hazardous and non-hazardous environments, supporting multiple alarm configurations, process connections, materials of construction, and electrical options so it can be matched to a specific line and medium.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The FLT93L covers a wide process temperature window, selectable as -40 to 177°C or, for higher-temperature service, -73 to 260°C.

  • Power: 115 Vac, 230 Vac, 24 Vdc, or 24 Vac.
  • Alarm output: SPDT or DPDT contacts.
  • Wetted materials: 316L stainless steel, Hastelloy C, Inconel 400, or Titanium grade 2 (S-Style only).
  • Local enclosure: aluminum or stainless steel, with cable entries of one 1" NPT, two 1/2" NPT, or two M20.

Process connections include 3/4" Female NPT, 1" Male NPT, 1 inch flanges, a DIN DN25 flange, and #PN40 316L stainless steel, with 150 lb and 300 lb carbon steel flange options. All enclosure styles carry agency approvals for hazardous locations covering Groups B, C, D, E, F, and G and Exd IIC.
