The Omega XBUK series comprises high current terminal blocks designed for reliable electrical connections in industrial control panels and distribution systems. The series provides screw connection terminals with superior construction features, including three-point centering of the wire within a prism-shaped sleeve base and fluted contact surfaces to maintain low contact resistance. Applications include general power distribution (XBUK150) and grounding circuits using green-yellow ground terminal blocks (XBUK95PE).

Operating Conditions & Performance

The XBUK series is engineered for high current loads with specific performance ratings depending on the model. The enclosed housing is constructed from Polyamide 6.6, providing an insulating material group of I and a rated surge voltage of 8 kV in contamination class 3 (surge voltage category III). Electrical connection capacity varies by model: XBUK150 supports wire sizes up to 300 MCM/150 mm² with maximum load currents reaching 309 A under IEC 60 947-7-1, while the XBUK95PE handles wires up to 000 AWG/95 mm² with a maximum load current of 232 A. Torque requirements are specified as 221 to 267 in-lb (25 to 30 Nm) for XBUK150 and 133 to 177 in-lb (15 to 20 Nm) for XBUK95PE.

The series offers configurable dimensions, connection capacities, and mounting options tailored to specific installation needs. Key capabilities include:

• Housing & Dimensions: Available in 31 mm (1.22") width for XBUK150 or 25 mm (0.98") width for XBUK95PE, with lengths of 100 mm (3.94") and 56.8 mm (3.27") respectively.
• Connection Capacity: Supports stranded conductors with ferrules or plastic sleeves ranging from 35 to 150 mm² depending on the model, plus multi-conductor connections for solid and stranded wires up to 50 mm².
• Mounting & Accessories: Compatible with DIN rails (slotted or solid) in sizes 35 x 7.5 mm and 35 x 15 mm; center labeling marker strips are available as accessories.
• Certifications: The series meets RoHS, IEC 60 947-7-1, EN 50 019, and UL-cUL standards with ratings up to 1000 V/309 A (IEC) or 600 V/285 A (UL).

The XBUK series is distinguished by two primary model configurations:

• XBUK150: A gray, screw connection high current terminal block with a 31 mm width. It accommodates wire sizes from 2 AWG to 300 kcmil (UL-cUL) and supports maximum load currents of up to 309 A per IEC standards.
• XBUK95PE: A green/yellow, screw connection high current ground block with a 25 mm width. It is designed for wire sizes from 4 AWG to 000 AWG (IEC) and supports maximum load currents of up to 232 A.
