Conflict Mineral Policy Statement

Statement regarding DwyerOmega and affiliated companies compliance with global Tin, Tantalum, Tungsten & Gold (3TG) and Conflict Mineral due diligence guidelines.

DwyerOmega assures you, our customer, that we follow all recommended guidelines and are compliant with them.

Our commitment to social responsibility to respect human rights, to responsible sourcing and to supply chain transparency is manifest in the transparency of our Conflict Mineral Reporting Template (CMRT) and our Conflict Mineral due diligence processes. This transparency reflects our concern relating to 3TG and Conflict Minerals compliance in the larger supply chain.

DwyerOmega encourages our suppliers to comply with all applicable laws and regulations and also to have a policy in place to trace the origin of those 3TG items sourced by them and their sub-tier suppliers. DwyerOmega, to comply with the due diligence guidelines of the US Dodd-Frank Act, Organization for Economic Co-operation and development (OECD) and Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI), utilizes the process outlined below.

Due Diligence Process

Firstly, in alignment with the OECD Due Diligence Guidance, the purpose of the CMRT is transparency, not certification. DwyerOmega is required to do the following:

  • Collect all smelter data provided by our suppliers — whether those smelters are conformant or not.
  • Disclose every declared smelter within our upstream supply chain to identify and assess potential risks.
  • Demonstrate the due-diligence process, including actions taken to address any noncompliant or high-risk smelters identified.
  • Accordingly, we do not exclude non-compliant or “high-risk” smelters from our CMRT, as doing so would prevent a true and transparent reflection of our supply chain.

Secondly, as defined by the Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI):

  • Conformant smelters have successfully completed a third-party audit.
  • Active smelters are participating in or committed to such an audit.
  • Non-conformant smelters have not participated, have failed, or are known to source from conflict-affected or high-risk areas.

Thirdly, while non-compliant smelters may appear in our CMRT, these are typically declared indirectly through sub-tier supplier data. DwyerOmega does not have direct business relationships with any smelters.

DwyerOmega continuously engages our suppliers to encourage responsible sourcing and the removal of high-risk smelters from their supply chains. It is DwyerOmega’s expectation that our suppliers comply with all applicable guidelines regarding 3TG and Conflict Minerals. We reserve the right to immediately remove suppliers suspected of directly sourcing conflict minerals.

Providing our customers with current information regarding Conflict Minerals through our Conflict Minerals Reporting Template (CMRT). Dwyer Instruments, LLC and any of its affiliated companies (collectively referred to as “DwyerOmega”) are global leaders in sensing, monitoring and control technologies. As such, DwyerOmega is committed to our social responsibility to respect human rights and not contribute to conflict regarding the manufacture of our products especially the use of Conflict Minerals.
