The Omega LC602/LCM602 Series comprises heavy-duty constant moment beam load cells designed for industrial weighing and scale applications. These units are engineered to be highly accurate, rugged, and economically designed for demanding environments. The LCEA Series within this bundle represents economical bending beam load cells ideal for OEM use.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The LC602/LCM602 series operates across a process temperature range of -34 to 82°C (-30 to 180°F) with an ambient compensated range of 16 to 71°C (60 to 160°F). The LCEA Series supports a process operating temperature of -10 to 80°C (14 to 176°F) and a compensated temperature range of 0 to 65°C (32 to 140°F).

Performance specifications for the LC602/LCM602 include linearity of ±0.03% FSO, repeatability of ±0.02% FSO, and zero balance of ±1.0% FSO. Hysteresis is rated at ±0.05% FSO for capacities ≤500 lb/250 kgf and ±0.03% FSO for >500 lb/250 kgf. The LCEA Series specifies non-linearity of 0.5% full scale, hysteresis of 0.3% FS, and zero balance of ±1 mV/V.

Overload ratings are defined as Safe Overload at 150% of capacity and Ultimate Overload at 300% of capacity for the LC602/LCM602 series. The LCEA Series lists a Safe Overload of 200% full scale.

Configuration Options

The series supports multiple measurement ranges and configurations:

  • LC602/LCM602 Capacities: Available from 50 to 10,000 lb (23 to 4537 kgf). Specific models include LC602-50 through LC602-10K and LCM602 variants up to 11,023 lb.
  • LCEA Series Capacities: Offered in 1, 2, and 5 kg ranges (LCEA-1KG, LCEA-2KG, LCEA-5KG).

Housing materials differ by sub-series: LC602/LCM602 units feature stainless steel construction with an IP65 protection class. The LCEA Series utilizes aluminum with an acrylic resin protective coating.

Electrical connections include a 4.6 m (15') 4-conductor shielded color-coded PVC cable for LC602/LCM602 models, while the LCEA Series provides 6" 30 AWG pigtails. Excitation requirements are 10 Vdc (15V maximum) for LC602/LCM602 and 5 Vdc (8 Vdc maximum) for the LCEA Series.

Output signals vary by capacity: LC602/LCM602 provides 2 mV/V for ≤500 lb/250 kgf and 3 mV/V ±0.25% FSO for >500 lb/250 kgf. The LCEA Series outputs 0.5 mV/V ±10%. Bridge resistance is 350 Ω (±10%) for LC602/LCM602 and 350 Ω for the LCEA Series.

Compatible meters include the DP41-B High Performance Meter, as well as DP41-S, DP25B-S, and DP87 models. The series supports NIST Traceable Calibration with 59 Ω Shunt Data.
