Supported Applications
The AIi GPR-1500 and GPR-1500A series are PPM Oxygen Transmitters/Analyzers designed for general purpose or hazardous area use. These single-channel instruments perform precise trace oxygen analysis and percentage oxygen measurement in clean gas environments. The series supports applications requiring electrochemical sensor technology optimized for specific background gases, including carbon dioxide (CO₂), helium (He), and hydrogen (H₂).
Operating Conditions & Performance
The GPR-1500A operates within an ambient temperature range of +5 °C...+45 °C (+41 °F...+113 °F) with a humidity rating of 0...80 %rh non-condensing. The analyzer accepts a power supply of 12-28V DC (specifically configured as B1 - 12-28VDC in the ordering code). Process pressure is rated for 5...30 psi (0.4...2.1 bar).
Measurement capabilities include four primary ranges: 0-10 ppm, 0-100 ppm, 0-1000 ppm, and 0-1% O₂, with an additional 0-25% range available for air calibration. The series offers a resolution of 0.01 ppm for PPM ranges and 0.001 % for percentage ranges. Response time (T90) is documented as less than 2 minutes.
The enclosure provides NEMA 4X protection with a fiberglass housing, while the GPR-x500 family data sheet also references NEMA 3R ratings and painted aluminum construction options depending on configuration. Wetted materials include stainless steel pipe-work and sensor housings.
Configuration Options
The series is configurable across hazardous area certifications, sample systems, sensors, and output signals to meet specific installation needs.
- Hazardous Configuration: Options include B1 for General Purpose or B2 for cMETus, ATEX (II 1G Ex ia IIC T4 Ga Tamb (-20 °C...+50 °C)), IECEx, and UKEX approvals. The B2 option includes an Intrinsically Safe Barrier supplied loose.
- Sample Systems: Configurable as C0 (no sample system required), C1 (A-4442 Coalescing filter fitted on inlet), or C2 (sample panel fitted).
- Sensors: Available options include D1 (GPR-12-333 standard PPM sensor), D2 (XLT-12-333 for CO₂ & acidic background gases), and D3 (GPR-12-333-H for H₂ & He background gases).
- Output Signals: The GPR-1500A supports 4-20mA, 1-5V DC output, and Modbus communications. The GPR-1500 model is a 4-wire powered transmitter with 4-20mA output.
