Supported Applications

The Omega XBUT-F series consists of screw connection fuse terminal blocks designed to act as a fuse carrier for North American and European fuses. These units facilitate potential distribution via a double bridge shaft system within electrical control panels.

• Fuse protection in industrial wiring systems using 5 x 20 mm or 6.3 x 32 mm (0.25 x 1.3") cylindrical fuses
• Signal and power circuit distribution with plug-in bridge configurations

Operating Conditions & Performance

The series supports two primary terminal widths: the XBUT4FBE Series at 6.2 mm (0.24") and the XBUT6FBN Series at 8.2 mm (0.32"). Electrical ratings vary by model, with UL-cUL Ratings listed as 600/6.3/26-10 for the XBUT4FBE Series and 400/610/24-8 or specific voltage/current combinations for LED variants in the XBUT6FBN Series.

Configuration Options

The series offers configurable options regarding fuse size, wire capacity, and signaling. Models are available with or without light indicators for triggered fuses.

Fuse Sizes & Wire Ranges

• XBUT4FBE Series: 5 x 20 mm fuse; supports solid/stranded wire from 10 AWG to 26 AWG (IEC) or specific cross-sections up to 4 mm² with ferrules.
• XBUT6FBN Series: 6.3 x 32 mm (0.25 x 1.3") fuse; supports solid/stranded wire from 8 AWG to 24 AWG or specific cross-sections up to 6 mm² with ferrules.

LED Indicator Options

Variants include light indicators for signaling triggered fuses across AC and DC voltage ranges:

• XBUT4FBEL250: LED indicator, 110 to 250V, 0.5 to 2.5 A
• XBUT6FBNL250: LED indicator, 110 to 250V, 0.5 to 2.5 A
• XBUT6FBNL24: LED indicator, 12 to 30V, 1 to 2.5 A

Accessories & Mounting

The series supports a flexible plug-in bridge system and various mounting accessories:

• Plug-in bridges (XBAFBS): Available in red for 2, 3, 5, 10, or 50 positions.
• DIN rails: Slotted or solid options for 35 x 7.5 mm and 35 x 15 mm profiles.
• End stops: Options include 1-screw mounted (XBAES35C), 3-screw mounted (XBAES35T), and snap-on end stops (XBAES35N).

Key Product Differences

The XBUT-F series distinguishes between the narrower XBUT4FBE Series (6.2 mm) and the wider XBUT6FBN Series (8.2 mm). The primary functional difference lies in fuse dimensions, wire capacity, and available LED signaling voltages.

• XBUT4FBE: Black housing, 5 x 20 mm fuse holder, no indicator unless specified as L250 variant.
• XBUT6FBN: Black housing, 6.3 x 32 mm (0.25 x 1.3") fuse holder; available with LED indicators for low voltage DC (L24) or higher AC/DC voltages (L250).
