OMEGALUX© rope heaters apply heat to tubing with diameters as small as 1/8' (3.2 mm). Featuring a maximum allowable operating temperature of 482 °C (900 °F), the FGR series rope heaters can be wrapped around either conductive or non-conductive surfaces. Each end terminates with 24' (610 mm) long fiberglass insulated lead wire. These rope heaters are very similar to our heater tapes. Please review our tape heaters for your application needs.

What is the expected lifetime of the OMEGALUX™ Rope Heaters FGR-030?

It is an application dependent product. There is not an expected lifetime specification for our rope heaters.

We like the FGR-030 rope heater. In a smaller application I am wondering if I can get an 18" variety. The 36" needs to be wond around other things and it gets kind of messy. We go through about a dozen a year.
The 18" Rope Heater is not presently offered and would be a custom application. Contact Omega's Heater group at heaters@omega.com for details about custom product criteria.

Hello, do I just plug this into a wall? Do I need to buy something else as well to make this heater work?
