Supported Applications
The Omega CT7300 Series is an economical, microprocessor-based circular process recorder designed to measure and record up to two process variables on a standard 10-inch (254 mm) chart. The series supports recording applications requiring inputs from thermocouples (Types J, K, T, R, B, S), RTDs (Pt100 DIN), or linear signals including 4-20 mA and 0-5 Vdc.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The CT7300 Series operates within an ambient temperature range of 0 to 60°C (32 to 140°F) with a humidity rating of 0 to 90% RH non-condensing. Storage temperatures are rated from -40 to 65°C (-40 to 149°F). The unit is powered by 110/220 Vac, 50/60 Hz and includes battery backup for up to 48 hours of recording during power loss.
Performance specifications include a recording accuracy of ±0.5% of span (for a 100-division span) and cold junction accuracy of ±0.2°C/°F @ 25°C (77°F). Ambient error is specified as ±0.01% span/°C from 25°C ambient. The full-scale pen response time to sensor break is less than 10 seconds.
Input ranges supported by the series include:
- Type J: -130°C to 760°C (-202°F to 1400°F)
- Type K: -130°C to 1370°C (-202°F to 2498°F)
- Type T: -200°C to 400°C (-328°F to 752°F)
- Type B: 100°C to 1824°C (212°F to 3315°F)
- Type R: 0°C to 1650°C (32°F to 3002°F)
- Type S: 0°C to 1640°C (32°F to 3000°F)
- Pt100 (DIN): -210°C to 440°C (-346°F to 824°F)
- Linear: 4 to 20 mA and 0 to 5 Vdc
Configuration Options
The series is available in three primary configurations based on alarm relay integration:
- CT7310: Dual Pen Recorder without alarms.
- CT7311: Dual Pen Recorder with Alarm Relay for Pen 1.
- CT7312: Dual Pen Recorder with Alarm Relays for both Pen 1 and Pen 2.
Housing options include a standard NEMA 12X enclosure or an optional NEMA 4 (IP65) rated case, specified by adding "-NEMA" to the model number. An optional LED display indication is available for models with the suffix "-D".
Alarm relays are programmable for process, band, non-latching, or latching operation. The relay output is DPDT, 1.0 A @ 120 Vac resistive, with hysteresis set at 2 units and safe-sided activation. Error protection includes de-energization during sensor break.
Additional features include built-in chart lights for visibility in low-light conditions and a magnetic hub for easy paper replacement. The unit dimensions are 356 H x 356 W x 97 mm D (14 x 14 x 4") with a weight of 3 kg (7 lb).
Key Product Differences
The CT7300 Series distinguishes itself through configurable alarm capabilities and enclosure ratings. The base model, CT7310, provides dual-pen recording without relay outputs. Models CT7311 and CT7312 add programmable DPDT relays for one or two channels respectively.
Enclosure variations allow selection between the standard NEMA 12X rating and a more robust NEMA 4 (IP65) option, which is added to the model number as "-NEMA". The optional LED display suffix "-D" provides digital indication alongside the analog chart recording.
Replacement parts include red pens (P/N CT7300-RED), green pens (P/N CT7300-GREEN), and standard circular charts (P/N CT7000C series). Custom range paper is available via P/N CT7000C-CUSTOM.

Hey there any body help me to program CT7130 chart recorder for 4 hours, the manual Says "Chart Speed: Programmable for 4, 8,12, 24, 48, 72,168 hour rotation" and didn;t find any explanation for chart speed control settings

The CT7310 makes use of a set up chart to select sensor, sensor range, chart speed, etc. In the manual page 13 these parameters are simply referred to as categories. Set up charts are included with the recorder purchase.

Thanks a lot! My follow up question would then be......could you provide me with the probes that are compatible with these chart recorders?

Will I be able to use this chart as a stand alone if I buy probes? Or does this one specifically replace a chart recorder on an environmental chamber?
This is a stand alone product that can be used with may different external separately purchased probes. Not specific for any single application only.

HX93BV1 is able to connect to this chart recorder and read temperature and humidity, correct? Sorry for all the questions, I just want to get the right products for my companies usage before purchasing.

This recorder includes sensor for temperature and RH.
Chart ranges for the CT7300 series are limited. The temperature and RH outputs of the HX93BV1 have different numerical ranges requiring chart paper with 2 ranges which are not available.
