Supported Applications
The Rotronic EAxx-SCS Humidity Standards are salt solution-based reference standards designed for the calibration and adjustment of humidity probes. The series is explicitly documented for use with Rotronic probes and offers full compatibility with third-party probes.
Operating Conditions & Performance
These standards utilize non-saturated aqueous salt solutions to generate stable relative humidity values ranging from 0.5 %rh to 95 %rh, alongside a 0 %rh standard composed of samm granules of highly porous ceramic dried at high temperature. Each ampoule contains approximately 0.8 ml of solution and maintains long-lasting performance while sealed.
Measurement uncertainty is specified for select nominal values at 23 °C:
- EA00-SCS (0.5 %rh): ±0.3 %rh
- EA35-SCS (35 %rh): ±0.4 %rh
- EA50-SCS (50 %rh): ±0.6 %rh
- EA75-SCS (75 %rh): ±0.7 %rh
- EA95-SCS (95 %rh): ±0.8 %rh
The standards are traceable to national standards, and each box includes a certificate providing statistical information on the manufacturing batch.
Configuration Options
The series is available in multiple nominal humidity values including 0.5, 5, 10, 11, 20, 35, 50, 60, 65, 75, 80, and 95 %rh. Packaging options vary by quantity:
- SCS Packs: Boxes of 5 glass ampoules with the same nominal value.
- BOX Variants: Larger quantities available in boxes of 25 or 50 units (e.g., EA05-BOX25-SCS, EA10-BOX-SCS).
PADS are included with specific configurations; for example, the SCS packs typically include PADS matching the ampoule count, while certain BOX variants may not. The model number guide follows the format: EA<XX>-SCS - <Nominal Value> - <Quantity> - <PADS Included>.
