Supported Applications

The Dwyer Series A-320 Instrument Enclosures protect pressure instruments in all applications. These protective housings are designed to fit a variety of gages and transmitters, including the Series 605 Magnehelic® differential pressure transmitter, DM-1000 DigiMag® digital differential pressure gage, DM-2000 differential pressure transmitter, 3000MR/MRS Photohelic® switch/gage, DH3 Digihelic® pressure controller, and the 2000 Magnehelic® gage (including medium and high pressure options). The enclosures accommodate instruments with backwards compatible bezel options.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The Series A-320 provides environmental protection for installed instrumentation. Plastic models carry an IP66 enclosure rating. Housing materials are available in ABS plastic or 304 SS (stainless steel). Process connections vary by material: standard models feature a 1/8" female NPT connection, while -SS stainless steel models utilize a 1/8" BSPT connection.

Unit weights differ across the series envelope:

• A-320-A1: 1.1 lb (0.5 kg)
• A-320-B1: 1.4 lb (0.65 kg)
• A-320-BC: 1.4 lb (0.65 kg)
• A-320-A-SS: 2.3 lb (1.05kg)
• A-320-B-SS: 3.0 lb (1.35 kg)

Configuration Options

The series offers configurable housing materials and process connection standards to match specific installation requirements.

• Housing Material: ABS plastic or 304 SS.
• Process Connection: 1/8" female NPT for standard models; 1/8" BSPT for -SS stainless steel models.

All Series A-320 enclosures include silicone tubing, Banjo fittings, and threaded pressure connections pre-installed. The design allows users to change the connection type using external fittings or adapters to connect to a wide variety of plastic or metal tubing. An accessory option is available for specific configurations:

• A-339-SS: 1/8" male BSPT to 3/16" hose barb.

Key Product Differences

The Series A-320 is differentiated by the specific instrument compatibility and housing material. Model designations indicate which instruments fit within each enclosure:

• A-320-A1 / A-320-A-SS: Designed for the 2000 Magnehelic® gage.
• A-320-B1 / A-320-B-SS: Accommodates the 3000MR/MRS Photohelic® switch/gage, Series 605 transmitter, DH3 Digihelic® pressure controller (note: for DH3 to fit on A-320-B1, the casing on the electrical plug must be removed), and the 2000 Magnehelic® gage with medium/high pressure options.
• A-320-BC: Fits the 2000 Magnehelic® gage, DM-1000 DigiMag®, DM-2000 transmitter, and instruments with backwards compatible bezel option.
