Supported Applications
The Omega DRSL-TC Series consists of low-profile DIN rail signal conditioners designed to interface thermocouple inputs with SCADA systems or PLC equipment. The series accepts Type J and K thermocouples, converting them into unipolar analog signals suitable for data acquisition applications.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The DRSL-TC Series operates within an ambient temperature range of -25 to 70°C (-13 to 158°F) and supports storage temperatures from -40 to 85°C (-40 to 185°F). Humidity ratings are specified as 0 to 95% RH non-condensing. Accuracy performance varies by model: the DRSL-TC provides better than 1.0°C or ±0.1% of selected input range, while the DRSL-TC-ISO offers better than 0.5°C or ±0.05% of selected input range.
Measurement ranges cover Type J from -100 to 1200°C (-148 to 2192°F) and Type K from -180 to 1372°C (-292 to 2501°F). Response time is selectable at <30 ms or 300 ms. The units carry CE, UL US, and RoHS approvals.
Configuration Options
The series includes two primary configurations: the DRSL-TC (non-isolated) and the DRSL-TC-ISO (isolated). Configuration is performed via DIP-switches with over 1000 factory-calibrated measurement ranges available. The slimline housing measures only 6 mm (0.24") wide, with overall dimensions of 113 H x 6.1 W x 115 mm D (4.4 x 0.24 x 4.5").
Available output signals include:
- Current Output: 0 to 20 mA and 4 to 20 mA
- Voltage Output: 0 to 10V, 2 to 10V, 0 to 5V and 1 to 5V
Power supply requirements are 16.8 to 31.2 Vdc via connectors for the DRSL-TC; the DRSL-TC-ISO accepts 16.8 to 31.2 Vdc via power rail or connectors. Electrical connections utilize screw terminals compatible with wire sizes from 0.13 x 2.5 mm² / AWG 26 to 12 stranded wire.
Accessories for the series include:
- DRSL-PWR-RAIL: Power rail (with cover and two end covers), 1 m length, for use with DRSL-TC-ISO only
- DRSL-PCU: Power connector unit, 24 Vdc/2.5 A output to power rail, for use with DRSL-TC-ISO only
- DRSL-MOD-STOP: Module stop screwed onto the power rail to support mounted devices
Key Product Differences
The series distinguishes between two model families based on isolation and surge suppression capabilities:
- DRSL-TC: Non-isolated thermocouple input DIN rail signal conditioner.
- DRSL-TC-ISO: Isolated thermocouple input DIN rail signal conditioner featuring 3-way isolation and surge suppression. This model supports power via the optional DRSL-PWR-RAIL system in addition to direct connectors.

Good product, easy to use.
Works great and easy to setup. I didn't use it on a DIN rail but it works fine standalone. The packaging is well done so you can just lay it on a bench or something and it works fine. I'd definitely buy it again anytime I need to log high rate thermocouple data.

Clean simple Thermocuple signal conditioner
Very flexible and easy to use. I bought both the isolated and non isolated versions. Small DIN rail footprint. Clear instructions. Just what I needed for a simple data acq project that needed a single thermocouple input.

Why is the drsl-temp option not showing up in the all models section?
DRSL-TEMP is a different series meant for thermocouples and RTD's, it will come up when you look for it on our search engine.
