Operating Conditions & Performance

The OMTBV7 series operates within an insulation temperature range of -40 to 90°C (-40 to 195°F). Electrical performance varies by model size, with voltage ratings (AC/DC) specified at 600V for the W3, W4, W6, W10, W16S, and W70 models in their respective specification tables. Maximum current handling ranges from 20 A on OMTBV7-W3 blocks up to 310 A on OMTBV7-W70-5 units.

Wire cross-section capabilities span from #22 AWG (0.5 mm²) for smaller models like the W3, W4, and W6, extending to #3/0 AWG (70 mm²) for high-current configurations such as OMTBV7-W16S and OMTBV7-W70-5. Recommended tightening torques are defined per model, ranging from 0.6 Nm (5.0 to 5.6 lb-in.) on W3/W4 blocks to 15 Nm (132.8 lb-in.) for the W70 series.

The OMTBV7 series is available in multiple configurations defined by wire capacity, color coding, and packaging quantities. Standard feed-through blocks are offered in Gray, Red, Blue, Black, Green, Yellow, Orange, White, and Brown.

• Wire Range Models: The series includes OMTBV7-W3 (0.5 to 2.5 mm²), W4 (0.5 to 4 mm²), W6 (0.5 to 6 mm²), W10 (0.5 to 10 mm²), W16S (#14 to #4 AWG, #2.5 to #16 AWG), and high-capacity options like OMTBV7-W35 (2.5...35 mm²) and OMTBV7-W70-5 (4...70 mm²).
• Mounting & Accessories: Compatible with DIN rails including 35 x 7.5 mm slotted/solid and 35 x 15 mm slotted/solid variants. End barriers, end anchors (normal duty or heavy duty), blank marking tags (sizes from 5x9 mm to 8x12 mm), and pre-printed single-digit tabs are available.
• Jumpers: Side jumpers and center jumpers are offered in various pole configurations including 2-pole, 3-pole, 10-pole, and 50-pole options to facilitate circuit continuity across terminals.

Key Product Differences

The OMTBV7 series distinguishes itself through specific model families tailored to different wire gauges and current loads. The W3, W4, and W6 models are compact feed-through blocks with densities of 200/m (61 pcs./ft), 166/m (50 pcs./ft), and 142/m (43 pcs./ft) respectively. Larger capacity units such as OMTBV7-W10, W16S, and W35 provide increased current handling up to 85A and 140A with corresponding reductions in density per meter.

The OMTBV7-W70-5 model represents the high-current variant of the series, rated for 310 A maximum current and designed for wire sizes from #4 AWG to #3/0 AWG. This model features a distinct physical profile with an overall height of 71 mm (2.8") compared to the 35 mm or 41 mm heights found on smaller W-series blocks.
