Supported Applications
The Omega DRSL-LPO Series consists of DIN rail-mounted, loop-powered output isolators designed for current signal loops. These devices provide galvanic isolation and a 1:1 conversion of standard current signals intended for SCADA or PLC systems. The series eliminates ground loops while offering surge suppression and noise protection within industrial control environments.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The DRSL-LPO Series operates across an ambient temperature range of -25 to 70°C (-13 to 158°F) with a storage capability from -40 to 85°C (-40 to 185°F). Humidity tolerance is rated at 0 to 95% RH non-condensing. The modules feature an IP20 enclosure rating and are designed for installation in enclosures per Open Type Listed Process Control Equipment requirements.
Performance specifications include a response time of <5 ms (0 to 90%, 100 to 10%) with a cut-off frequency of 100 Hz. Absolute accuracy at 25°C is ≤±8 μA, and the signal-to-noise ratio exceeds 60 dB. The functional input range supports NAMUR NE43 compliance from 3.5 to 23 mA within an overall signal conversion span of 3.8 to 20.5 mA.
Configuration Options
The series is available in two channel configurations: the DRSL-LPO-1 (1-channel) and DRSL-LPO-2 (2-channel). Both models are loop-powered, drawing power from the host output current signal loop. The modules support an input transmitter supply of 3.5 to 32.5 V.
