Supported Applications
The Omega DRSL-SP1 is an isolated DIN rail repeater/splitter designed for current signals. It provides galvanic isolation and converts a single current input into two independent current outputs, intended for use with SCADA systems or PLC equipment.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The unit operates within an ambient temperature range of -25 to 70°C (-13 to 158°F) and a storage temperature range of -40 to 85°C (-40 to 185°F). It is rated for relative humidity from 0 to 95% RH non-condensing with an IP20 protection degree. Performance specifications include an accuracy of <±0.05% of span, a response time (0 to 90%, 100 to 10%) of <7 ms, and a signal-to-noise ratio >60 dB.
Electrical isolation is provided between input/output 1/output 2/supply with an Isolation Voltage (Test) of 2.5 kVac and an Isolation Voltage (Working) of 300 Vac. The device meets EMC Immunity Influence <±0.5% of span and Extended EMC Immunity NAMUR NE 21, A Criterion, Burst: <±1% of span.
Configuration Options
The DRSL-SP1 series supports the following configurable parameters and options:
- Input/Output Signals: Measurement range 0 to 20.5 mA; functional range 0 to 23 mA with two current outputs.
- Power Supply: 16.8 to 31.2 Vdc via Power Rail or Connectors, consuming a maximum of 0.8 W (typical internal consumption 0.4 W).
- Mechanical Mounting: Designed for DIN EN 60715 - 35 mm rail mounting with dimensions 113 H x 6.1 W x 115 mm D (4.4 x 0.24 x 4.5").
- Electrical Connections: Screw terminals accepting wire sizes from 0.13 to 2.5 mm²/AWG 26 to 12 stranded wire with a torque of 0.5 Nm.
- Available Options and Accessories: DRSL-PWR-RAIL (Power rail), DRSL-PCU (Power connector unit, 24 Vdc/2.5 A output), and DRSL-MOD-STOP (Module stop).

Don't use with DIN rail.
It is advertised as an :Isolated DIN Rail Repeater/Splitter for Current Signals", yet it doesn't work on DIN Rail because it is actually made for a power rail instead. It worked on one system but the other system's DIN rail clearance wasn't enough to prevent shorting out the entire system. Sloppy design and misleading advertising.
