Supported Applications
The Dwyer Series 629HLP Differential Pressure Transmitters are designed for measuring over-pressure, under-pressure, and differential pressure in compatible gases or liquids. The series is suitable for commercial, industrial, or sanitary applications where a single diaphragm design converts small increment pressure changes into a linear analog output signal.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The Series 629HLP operates with an ambient temperature range of -10 to 60°C (14 to 140°F) and a process temperature limit of -10 to 80°C (14 to 176°F). Accuracy is specified as ±1% from -5 to 60°C (23 to 140°F), with stability rated at ±1% FS/year. The unit features an IP65 enclosure rating and operates within a relative humidity of 10 to 90% non-condensing.
Pressure performance varies by range selection:
- Differential Pressure Ranges: Available in metric (0 to 1 bar, 0 to 2.5 bar, 0 to 4 bar, 0 to 6 bar) and imperial units (0 to 15 psi, 0 to 30 psi, 0 to 60 psi, 0 to 90 psi).
- Static Pressure Limits: Rated for a maximum static pressure of 25 bar (360 psi) across all ranges.
- Differential Overpressure & Burst Pressures: Maximum differential over-pressure limits are 5 bars or 70/174 psi depending on the range; burst pressures reach up to 18 bars or 260 psi for higher-range models. Exceeding these limits may result in permanent diaphragm deformation.
Configuration Options
The series offers configurable options across process connections, output signals, and accessories:
- Process Connections: Standard 1/4" female NPT or 1/4" female BSPT. When equipped with the optional 3-way valve manifold, connections are available as 1/8" female NPT or 1/8" female BSPT.
- Output Signals: Selectable between 4-20 mA (requires 8-36 VDC supply) or 0-10 VDC (requires 12-36 VDC or 12-32 VAC @ max load of 2 KΩ).
- Electrical Connection: Form A DIN 43650 connector.
- Wetted Materials: Standard construction includes 304 SS, EPDM, silicone grease, and alumina ceramic. The optional 3-way valve manifold utilizes brass, copper, nylon, HNBR, FKM, and NBR materials.
- Housing Material: ABS plastic with a weight of 1 lb 4 oz (567 g).
Key Product Differences
The Series 629HLP is configured via a model number guide: 629HLP - <RANGE> - <PROCESS CONNECTION> - <OUTPUT SIGNAL> - <OPTIONS>. Key variations include:
- Ranges (-01 to -90): Defines the specific differential pressure span, such as 0 to 1 bar or 0 to 60 psi.
- Process Connections (P2/P4): P2 denotes 1/4" female NPT; P4 denotes 1/4" female BSPT. Note that the optional 3-way valve changes these physical connections to 1/8" size.
- Output Signals (S1/S5): S1 provides a 4-20 mA signal, while S5 provides a 0-10 VDC signal.
- Options: Available options include the -3V code for an optional 3-way valve manifold (used for zeroing without removal and protection against water hammer), -FC for factory calibration, and -NIST for a NIST traceable calibration certificate. A mounting bracket (A-629HLP-BKT) is also available.
