Supported Applications
The Omega DASYLab Real-time Data Acquisition and Control System is a software solution designed for acquiring, displaying, and writing analog data using compatible hardware. The system supports the configuration of measurement settings and facilitates real-time monitoring through worksheet-based interfaces.
- Analog Input acquisition
- System setup with InstaCal driver/utility software
Operating Conditions & Performance
The DASYLab application operates as a 32-bit program on Windows environments. System requirements specify an X86-compatible processor from 1 GHz, noting that fast single core performance is preferred against very many cores. Memory requirements are a minimum of 2 GB with 4 GB recommended. The software requires at least 1024 × 768 screen resolution; full HD (1920 × 1080) and better is recommended, along with color depth at least 24 or 32 bits (True Color). Disk space requirements include 1 GB free space, of which at least 500 MB must be on the system partition.
- Operating systems: Windows 10, 32-bit; Windows 10, 64-bit (as a 32-bit application); Windows 8.1, 32-bit; Windows 8.1, 64-bit (as a 32-bit application); Windows 7, 32-bit; Windows 7, 64-bit (as a 32-bit application)
- Software dependencies: Latest version of the InstaCal driver/utility software and Microsoft® .Net Framework 2.0 SP2 or later
Configuration Options
The series provides access to Omega Engineering modules available from the Omega folder in the Inputs/Outputs Module group within DASYLab. These configurable capabilities include:
- Analog Input and Analog Output
- Digital Input and Digital Output
- Counter Input and Counter Output
The software supports measurement ranges such as -5 to 5 for analog inputs, with scan rates dependent on the connected device. For example, the maximum scan rate for the DEMO-BOARD is documented at 100 Hz.
Key Product Differences
The DASYLab Series includes four distinct software variants: SWD-DASYLAB, SWD-DASYLAB-FULL, SWD-DASYLAB-PRO, and SWD-DASYLITE. These SKUs represent different editions of the real-time data acquisition and control system.

Hi:, I would like to connect 4 cn16dpt controllers to my DasyLab newest version. How is it wired, communication protocols, and other connection information. DasyLab module etc. I look at the DasyLab file, but that is over 15 to 20 years old years old.
Thank you for your question. There is no driver support for CN16DPT and DASYLAB software. Please contact our Pre-Sales Data Acquisition Dept at 1-800-872-9436 for alternative options for Software and CN16DPT.
