Supported Applications

The Dwyer Series RSMC StabiliSENSE™ Critical Room Status Monitor is designed for critical low differential pressure applications requiring stringent monitoring and alarming. The series supports positive or negative pressure configurations in clean rooms, hospital isolation rooms, school nurses offices, laboratories, and vivariums.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The Series RSMC utilizes a capacitance cell pressure sensor to measure air service with selectable ranges including 0 to 0.25 in w.c., 0 to 0.5 in w.c., 0 to 1 in w.c., -0.25 to 0.25 in w.c., -0.5 to 0.5 in w.c., and -1.00 to 1.00 in w.c. The device operates within an ambient temperature range of 32 to 122°F (0 to 50°C) with a pressure limit rating of 1.5 psig.

Accuracy is available at ±0.25% RSS or ±0.5% RSS, where the total error includes non-linearity, hysteresis of ±0.05%, and non-repeatability of ±0.05%. The unit features a 4.3" (10.9 cm) color TFT LCD display with 480 x 272 resolution that provides graphical status indicators: green for acceptable range, yellow for caution, and red when parameters exceed the operating range.

Configuration Options

The series offers extensive configuration options across accuracy classes, pressure ranges, bezel materials, and communication protocols. Key capabilities include:

• Sensor Accuracy & Ranges: Configurable for ±0.25% RSS or ±0.5% RSS with multiple differential pressure spans.
• Housing Materials: Front PMMA window and back housing constructed of Fire-proof ABS+PC UL 94 V-0, rated IP65.
• Inputs & Outputs: Two user-selectable inputs (4-20 mA, 0-5 VDC, or 0-10 VDC); one digital input for door status; one digital output rated 5 A @ 30 VDC; and one analog output selectable as 4-20 mA or 0-10 V.
• Communications: Standard BACnet MS/TP and Modbus® RTU over 2-wire RS485 with an optional internal 120 ohm termination resistor enabled by a jumper between terminals 9 and 10.
• Power & Display: Powered by 24 VAC/VDC (3.6 W @ 24 VDC) with zero and span adjustments accessible via the touchscreen interface.

The series supports BTL and CE compliance certifications.

Key Product Differences

Variants within the Series RSMC are distinguished by accuracy class, pressure range code, bezel material (standard or stainless steel), and optional accessories. The model number guide follows the format: RSMC - <ACCURACY> - <PRESSURE RANGE> - <BEZEL> - <OPTIONS>.

Available options include:

• A-220: Clear flexible vinyl tubing (3/16" ID x 5/16" OD) for test applications.
• A-285: Remote alarm annunciator with visible/audible alarm and acknowledge switch.
• A-417A & A-418A: Static pressure pickups; the A-417A features a stainless steel wall plate for clean rooms, while the A-418A uses a Delta Style plastic enclosure with a fine mesh screen.
• A-465: Flush mount space pressure sensor in white plastic.
• A-RSMC-BOX: Surface mount box for RSMC Series installation.
