Supported Applications
The Omega CDH-SD11 Series is a portable conductivity, TDS (Total Dissolved Solids), and salinity meter featuring real-time SD card data logging. Designed for professional use with a large LCD display, the series supports long-term monitoring via a tripod receptacle mountable design.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The CDH-SD11 operates within a temperature range of 0~90°C with a temperature accuracy of ±0.5 °C. Measurement capabilities include:
- Conductivity (K=1 Supplied): 30 uS/cm to 20 ms/cm, resolution 0~1999 uS/cm.
- Conductivity (K=10 Option): 500 uS/cm to 199 mS/cm.
- TDS: Ranges of 0 to 19.99 ppm, 0 to 199.9 ppm, 0 to 1999 ppm, 0 to 19.99 ppt, and 0 to 199.9 ppt.
- Salinity: 0~42.0 ppt (Sea water).
Accuracy for Conductivity, TDS, and Salinity is specified as ±1% of full scale + 1 digit. The device includes built-in temperature compensation selectable between Thermistor 30K and 10K ohm.
Configuration Options
Sensor & Electrode Options
The series utilizes a BNC connector for the probe interface. Two electrode configurations are documented:
- CDE-11G K=1 (Graphite type) supplied.
- CDE-11P K=10 (Platinum type) available as an option.
The sensor body is constructed of ABS, with a graphite plate wetted material. The probe dimensions are 12x120mm overall length with a cable length of 1 M and a 3.5 mm diameter phone jack for the ATC temperature sensor.
Data Logging & Power
The meter supports SD memory cards up to 8GB capacity (SD card capacity: 1GB to 8GB). Sampling time is configurable from Auto 0, 2 secs, 5 secs, 10 secs, 15 secs, 30 secs, 60 secs, 120 secs, 300secs, 600 secs, 900 secs, to 1800 secs and 1Hr. A manual press of the ADJ button saves data once when sampling time is set to 0 second.
Power is supplied by AAA batteries x 3 pcs or an optional 9V AC/DC adaptor. The meter dimensions are 175mm x 58mm x 32mm (With BNC connector).
Key Product Differences
The primary variation within the series is defined by the conductivity cell constant and electrode material:
- K=1 Configuration:
- K=10 Configuration:

Not built for production environment
This version is not as robustly build as my SD1 was. I have concerns about how it will handle the production environment it is in.

K10 calibration solution not available!
Purchased this meter with K1 and K10 electrodes. I want to perform a calibration of the K10 (0-200mS range) and the manual asks for a 12.8mS solution. No STD solution of 12.8mS available at Omega. I call Omega and I am recommended to buy a 45mS solution to calibrate K10, which I do. Once I receive the solution, I find out there is no way to tell the meter that the solution is not 12.8 but 45mS! The engineering dept confirms that too on the phone... A bit unfortunate to not being able to calibrate such instrument! I will send it back...

Will this measure salinity for seawater? I am not sure what "option" vs. "supplied" means in the description for the range in conductivity. Does this mean selectable or does it mean that an optional accessory must be purchased?
Thank you for your inquiry! Yes the salinity for seawater can be measure using this device. In the description "supplied" refers to the range covered by the supplied electrode while "option" is for alternative electrodes that are available for purchase.

is this probe suitable for Reverse osmosis ( Conductivity range from 10 - 50 μS/cm) .Please let me know? Thank you
Thank you for your inquiry. It can be used, yet, the minimum conductivity that the meter will measure 30 microSiemens, nothing lower.
