Supported Applications

The Series TL-CC1 Cold Chain Temperature Logger is a single-use device for monitoring the transport of sensitive freight that is subject to cold-chain requirements, such as pharmaceuticals, foods, and technical products. It records temperature throughout a measurement program and produces an automatic PDF report, so the recipient can verify the temperature history of a shipment on arrival.

Because the logger is USB-based and freely configurable without installing software or a USB driver, it can be programmed and read on virtually any PC using Adobe Reader for the report. Each unit combines a configuration file, PDF report, instruction manual, and calibration certificate in one device, and it is calibrated before shipment. The logger supports Good Distribution Practice (GDP) workflows and is aligned with GxP, EN 12830, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, and GAMP5 requirements. Program the logger and generate the PDF at room temperature; for example, after removing it from a freezer, leave it in air for a few minutes before plugging it into a PC.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The logger measures temperature over -30~70°C (-22~158°F) using an NTC thermistor, with an accuracy of ±0.5°C across that range and a resolution of 0.1°C (0.1°F). It stores up to 8192 readings and outputs the results directly as a PDF file, with no separate software required.

During logging the device operates over -30~70°C, while programming and PDF generation are performed at room temperature; storage is rated over -40~85°C. Operating humidity is below 80% RH and storage humidity below 90% RH. When placed in its plastic bag, the logger carries an IP65 rating. It is powered by a pre-installed 3.0V CR2032 battery, and connects through a USB 2.0 plug-and-play type A connector.

The logger measures 105(L) x 55(W) x 2.5(D) mm with its bag and 80(L) x 43(W) x 2.5(D) mm without the bag, and weighs approximately 10 g. It is designed for single use, and the CR2032 battery is not replaceable.

Configuration Options

The Series TL-CC1 is a single-model platform whose behavior is set through its configuration rather than through hardware options. Key configurable capabilities include:

Logging interval: selectable at 0.5, 5, 10, 30, 60, 90, or 120 min, letting the resolution of the record be matched to the length of the trip.
Start delay: selectable at 0.5, 5, 10, 30, 60, 90, or 120 min, so recording can begin after the shipment is packed.
Alarms: configurable alarm ranges and alarm type for flagging temperature excursions, together with a MARK function during operation.

Because the logger is freely programmable without software installation and outputs a standardized PDF, a single device can be reconfigured for many different cold-chain routes while still delivering a tamper-evident, calibrated record.
