Supported Applications
The Omega NWH Series Clean Water Applications heaters are designed for industrial and commercial water heating. The series is specifically intended for clean water media, utilizing a circulation heater configuration to manage higher kilowatt ratings and larger capacity tanks.

Operating Conditions & Performance
The NWH series operates with 0.475" dia. copper sheath elements rated at 45-50 W/in². Power ratings span a range from 6 kW to 500 kW, supported by electrical inputs of 240 and 480V in both single-phase (1 & 3 Phase) configurations depending on the series model.
Construction specifications include:
- Vessel Material: Galvanized ASTM A53B carbon steel pipe for the body and nozzles; galvanized ASTM A516 Grade 70 carbon steel plate for the end disk.
- Pressure Rating: 150 lb Construction.
- Flange Design: 3 - 14" ANSI B-16.5 Blind Flange with a ½" thermowell for thermostat bulb and a ¼" NPT threaded opening for a thermocouple or RTD.
The vessel is provided with thermal insulation and a painted sheet metal jacket.
Configuration Options
The series encompasses four distinct model families (Series 3, 6, 18, and 45), differentiated by the number of elements: three, six, eighteen, or forty-five copper elements respectively. Process connections vary by series:
- Series 3: 1" NPT pipe inlet and outlet.
- Series 6: 2" NPT pipe inlet and outlet.
- Series 18: 2½" NPT pipe inlet and outlet.
- Series 45: 6" flanged pipe inlet and outlet.
Terminal enclosures are configurable to meet environmental needs, with E1 General Purpose as standard. Available enclosure options include:
- E2 Moisture Resistant/Explosion Resistant
- E3 Explosion Resistant
- E4 Moisture Resistant
Electrical connections feature convenient field wiring terminals for installation. Conduit openings vary by series: 1" conduit opening (Series 3, 6, 18); three 1" conduit openings (Series 18); and a 3/4" NPT pipe plug (Series 3, 6, 18) or Series 45.
Control options include side-mounted AR thermostats with a range of 60-250°F. Stock heaters for Series 3 and 6 come equipped with this thermostat; Series 18 and 45 are furnished without it unless specified as an option.

- Series 45 (Forty-Five Elements): High-capacity models ranging from 250 kW to 500 kW, available at 480V only in the documented tables.
