Supported Applications

The Omega FT-MC Series consists of chrome-plated quick couplings designed for 1/8 in flow applications. Documented uses include air lines, beverage supply lines, instrumentation systems, and water lines.

Operating Conditions & Performance

These fittings operate within a temperature range of -40 to 82°C (-40 to 180°F) for both ambient and process conditions. The series supports pressures from Vacuum to 17.3 bar (250 psi). Wetted materials include Chrome-Plated Brass, Acetal, 316 Stainless Steel, and Buna seals.

Configuration Options

The FT-MC Series offers a broad configuration envelope for pipe thread, panel mount, in-line, and elbow installations. Models are available with single or double side shutoff functionality as well as straight thru flow options.

• Housing Configurations: Pipe Thread (Male/Female), Panel Mount, In Line, Elbow
• Tubing Connections: Supports various tubing sizes including 5/32 x 0.10", 1/4 x 0.170", and 3/8 x 0.250" OD.
• Hose Barbs: Available for hose IDs of 1/8", 3/16", and 1/4" (Metric equivalents: 3.2 ID, 4.8 ID, 6.4 ID).
• Thread Types: Includes NPT (1/8, 1/4), BSPT (1/8, 1/4), and UNF (10-32) connections.

Note: Panel mount variants require a maximum panel thickness of 1/2" (except for 1/8" pipe thread which is limited to 0.21") with a minimum thickness of 0.050" and utilize 5/8" Hex nuts.

Model Number Structure

The series follows the format: FT-MC Series - <Configuration> - <Thread/Connection Type> - <Flow Type>. For example, straight thru models use the suffix "MC" (e.g., FT-MC10-02), while shutoff models use "MCD" (e.g., FT-MCD10-02).

Material Interchangeability

The series notes that Acetal and Chrome-Plated Brass coupling halves are interchangeable. PTF fittings within the broader family context are designed for semi-rigid tubing such as polyethylene, nylon, or polyurethane.
