The Omega HTC-CE Series consists of high temperature, grounded CE approved heating cords designed for use on small tubes, vessels, or any application where space is limited. The series solves a wide range of applications including viscosity control, laboratory work, temperature maintenance, and the melting of solids.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The HTC-CE Series features a Samox® construction with an IP50 rating. The series offers exceptional flexibility, capable of being wrapped around objects as small as 3 mm (1/8 in) diameter, and provides rapid thermal response.

  • Maximum Exposure Temperature: Single Install: Up to 760 °C (1400 °F); Removable/Reusable: Up to 450 °C (842 °F)
  • Heater Diameter: 6.6 mm (0.26 in)
  • Watt Density: 120 W/m (37 W/ft)
  • Minimum Bend Radius: 4.7 mm (0.19 in)

A temperature controller and temperature sensor is required to operate this heater.

Configuration Options

The series supports multiple cord lengths, each delivering a specific total wattage at the standard voltage of 240 Vac. All units include high-temperature tie downs for easy installation and feature crimped ferrule leads as the electrical connection.

  • HTC-2M-240V-CE: 2.0 m (6.6 ft) cord length, 240 Watts
  • HTC-2.5M-240V-CE: 2.5 m (8.2 ft) cord length, 300 Watts
  • HTC-3M-240V-CE: 3.0 m (9.8 ft) cord length, 360 Watts
  • HTC-3.5M-240V-CE: 3.5 m (11.5 ft) cord length, 420 Watts

The standard lead length is 1.5 m (5 ft). The series holds CE and RoHS Compliant approvals.
