Supported Applications

The Dwyer Series WNT NSF Certified Multi-Jet Water Meters are mechanical, water totalizing meters designed to display total water usage in gallons or cubic meters. The series features a lead-free, NSF-certified brass body suitable for potable water applications.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The Series WNT is rated for service with water at process temperatures up to 122°F (50°C) and pressure limits of 150 psi (10 bar). Accuracy specifications are defined by flow regime: ±3% Transitional Flow and ±1.5% Nominal Flow.

Flow ranges vary by model size, with nominal flow capabilities spanning from 1 to 20 GPM for smaller sizes up to 8 to 160 GPM for the largest models. The meters are designed for maintenance-free operation and include an integral strainer and a magnetically driven, hermetically sealed register.

Model-Specific Flow Ranges

  • 5/8" x 1/2" (WNT-A-C-01): Nominal flow range of 1 to 20 GPM; Max flow: 20 GPM.
  • 5/8" x 3/4" (WNT-A-C-02): Nominal flow range of 1 to 20 GPM; Max flow: 20 GPM.
  • 3/4" x 1" (WNT-A-C-05): Nominal flow range of 2 to 30 GPM; Max flow: 30 GPM.
  • 1" (WNT-A-C-06): Nominal flow range of 3 to 50 GPM; Max flow: 50 GPM.
  • 1-1/2" (WNT-A-C-07): Nominal flow range of 5 to 100 GPM; Max flow: 100 GPM.
  • 2" (WNT-A-C-08): Nominal flow range of 8 to 160 GPM; Max flow: 160 GPM.

Configuration Options

The series is available in body sizes ranging from 5/8" x 1/2" (15 mm) through 2" (50 mm). Process connections are provided via NPT or BSPT couplings. The wetted materials consist of a C87850 brass alloy (ECO-BRASS®) for the body and couplings, with an ABS plastic measuring chamber.

Output Signal & Pulse Options

The meters provide a pulse output with frequency proportional to flow rate. The electrical rating is 0.01 A @ 24 VAC/DC, utilizing color-coded lead wires that are 4.5' (1.5 m) long connected to a plastic housing containing a Reed Switch.

Pulse rates vary by size and model configuration:

  • 5/8" to 1" sizes: Available in 0.1 gal, 1 gal, 10 gal, or 100 gal per pulse options.
  • 1-1/2" to 2" sizes: Available in 1 gal, 10 gal, or 100 gal per pulse options.

Totalizing Display Maximums

  • 5/8" x 1/2", 5/8" x 3/4", 3/4" x 1", and 1" models: Display maximum of 9,999,999.99 gallons.
  • 1-1/2" and 2" models: Display maximum of 9,999,999.9 gallons.

Physical Dimensions & Weight

Overall dimensions vary by size, with lengths ranging from 7-31/64 in (190 mm) to 11-13/16 in (300 mm). Weights range from 3.58 lb (1.63 kg) for the smallest models up to 13.23 lb (6 kg) for the 2" model.

Key Product Differences

The Series WNT is configured using a specific model number structure: WNT - [Unit of Measurement] - [Water Temperature] - [Size] - [Pulse Rate].

  • Unit of Measurement: The code "-A" indicates Gallons.
  • Water Temperature: The code "-C" designates Cold water applications.
  • Pulse Rate Suffixes: A blank suffix denotes 0.1 gal output; "-1", "-10", and "-100" denote 1, 10, and 100 gal outputs respectively (where available for the specific size).

The Series WNT is not field serviceable and cannot be repaired. Field repair should not be attempted as it may void the warranty.
