Supported Applications
The Dwyer Series BFC Brass Flap Check Valve is an economical check valve designed for commercial and industrial applications. The series provides backflow protection in systems where reverse flow could potentially cause damage to equipment by yielding reverse flow.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The Series BFC operates with a process temperature range of -20 to 180°F (-28.9 to 82°C). The valve is rated for pressures up to 200 psi (13.8 bar) and supports steam applications at a maximum pressure of 150 psi (10.3 bar).
Media compatibility includes gases, steam, and liquids compatible with the wetted materials. Designed to provide excellent flow characteristics, the valve minimizes turbulence and pressure loss while maintaining its ability to prevent backflow.
Configuration Options
The series is available in eight model configurations corresponding to specific pipe sizes:
- BFC-00: 1/2" NPT
- BFC-01: 3/4" NPT
- BFC-02: 1" NPT
- BFC-03: 1-1/4" NPT
- BFC-04: 1-1/2" NPT
- BFC-05: 2" NPT
- BFC-06: 2-1/2" NPT
- BFC-07: 3" NPT
Construction features a brass body and stem for long service life. The process connection type is NPT, with wetted materials consisting of brass for both the body and disc.
Key Product Differences
Variants within the Series BFC differ by pipe size (NPT) and overall physical dimensions. Dimension A ranges from 1-59/64 [49.00] to 4-7/8 [124.00] in [mm], while dimension B ranges from 1-27/64 [36.00] to 3-13/64 [81.50] in [mm]. Specific dimensional values correspond directly to the selected NPT size.
