Supported Applications
The Omega B&K Vibro VC-1801 is a Relay Module designed for the VIBROCONTROL 1800 Series vibration monitoring systems. It provides additional alarm relay capacity for machine protection applications involving critical rotating equipment with roller element bearings and sleeve bearings.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The module operates within an ambient temperature range of -10 °C to +50 °C, with a storage temperature range of -40 °C to +85 °C. It is housed in a DIN rail enclosure rated IP20 and weighs 160 g (measuring module). The VC-1801 supports up to two relay modules consisting of 12 galvanic isolated relays each, allowing Alert and Danger alarms from the vibration monitor to be directed to these outputs. Each relay is rated for a maximum voltage of 30 V and a maximum current of 100 mA.
Configuration Options
The VC-1801 functions as an extension module within the modular Link Concept architecture, interconnecting with other series components via DIN rail bus connectors. Key capabilities include:
- Relay Capacity: Up to 24 additional relays (two modules of 12 galvanic isolated relays).
- Alarm Routing: Alert and Danger alarms can be directed to the module's relays.
- Safety Integration: The system supports an OK relay configuration for Protection Monitor setups according to ISO/EN 13849-1, which trips on cable short, cable break, or internal system failure.
Key Product Differences
The VIBROCONTROL 1800 Series includes dedicated monitoring units for specific sensor types: VC-1850 (Accelerometers CCS), VC-1860 (Velocity Sensors), and VC-1870 (Displacement Sensors). The VC-1801 Relay Module is an additional component within this series, distinct from the EtherBridge modules (VC-1803 for Ethernet communication; VC-1804 for Ethernet-Bridge & Data Logger) which handle data storage and trend recording.
