Supported Applications

The ACI FSIG-SLM500 Series provides audible and visual alarm signaling for gas detection systems, safety applications, and security environments. Designed as a multifunctional LED beacon and sounder combination, the series supports three separate levels of alarm—alert, pre-alarm, and alarm—controllable via independent electric contacts (relay inputs). The devices are intended for indoor or outdoor use in industrial and commercial settings requiring reliable signaling.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The FSIG-SLM500 Series operates within an ambient temperature range of -22 to 131°F (-30 to 55°C). The enclosure is constructed from high impact and UV resistant, self-extinguishing polycarbonate with a Type 3R (IP65) rating. Power supply requirements are 12 to 24 VAC/VDC for the standard SLM500 configuration.

Performance specifications include:

• Luminous Intensity: Amber: 65 cd | 817 lm; Blue: 60 cd | 754 lm; Clear: 300 cd | 3771 lm; Green: 100 cd | 1257 lm; Red: 80 cd | 1006 lm.
• Flash Rate: 85 +/- 10 Flashes per minute (Strobe Mode).
• Horn Output: Adjustable from 65 to 105 dB(A) @ 1 meter (3.28').
• Lamp Life: LED Array rated for 50,000 Hours.
• Current Draw: At 12 VAC/VDC: 380 mA | 6 VA; at 24 VAC/VDC: 460 mA | 13 VA.

Configuration Options

The series offers configurable visual and audible outputs to meet specific signaling requirements. The FSIG-SLM500 unit features three input channels:

• Channel 1: Visual signal only (simulated strobe, triple flash).
• Channel 2: Simulated strobe plus audible Tone 1.
• Channel 3: Steady light plus unique audible Tone 2.

Audible tones are selectable via dip switch, offering a total of 64 options (32 for each tone channel). Visual flash patterns include Strobe (default), Fade, and Steady. The series is available in five strobe colors: Amber, Blue, Clear, Green, and Red.

Mounting configurations are sold separately from the horn/strobe unit:

• Deep Base: Diameter 3.62" (91.94 mm), Height 1.81" (46 mm).
• Wall Mount Base: L x W x H: 4.52" (115 mm) x 3.93" (100 mm) x 2.04" (61 mm).

An optional protective wire dome is available for the Deep Mounting Base and SLM500x Series to protect against physical damage.

Key Product Differences

The FSIG-SLM500 series distinguishes itself through color-coded strobe variants (FSIG-SLM500A, B, C, G, R) and separate mounting base options. The Deep Base model is designated as FSIG-SLMBD-012-024GY, while the Wall Mount Base is FSIG-SLMBW-012-024GY; both are gray in color.

Agency approvals include UL/cUL US (File# E162485) as an Audible and Visual Appliance Type 3P for Indoor/Outdoor, along with CE certification under directives 2014/30/EU (EMC), 2014/35/EU (Low Voltage), and RoHS2 compliance.
