The Omega Alta Long Range Wireless IIoT Humidity Sensors monitor relative humidity (RH), temperature, and dew point within rooms or enclosures. The series is suitable for greenhouse monitoring, agriculture, art galleries, museums, humidors, and general weather/environmental applications.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The sensors measure RH from 0 – 100% with an accuracy of ± 3% under normal conditions (10% - 90% RH). The response time is documented as 8 sec (tau 63%). Wireless range extends to 1,000+ ft. non-line-of-sight using Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum (FHSS) for interference immunity.
Operating temperature ranges vary by power configuration:
- -7°C to +55°C (20°F to +131°F) for board circuitry and coin cell
- -18°C to 50°C (0°F to 122°F) using alkaline batteries
- -40°C to 80°C (-40°F to 176°F) using lithium batteries or industrial configurations
The series includes onboard data memory for up to 512 sensor messages and supports over-the-air updates. Security is provided via Encrypt-RF™ (256-bit key exchange and AES-128 CTR).
