Supported Applications

The Omega DPG210 series consists of advanced, high accuracy digital pressure gauges featuring ambient temperature measurement. The product line is primarily configured as the DPG210-KIT pressure calibration kits, which combine the gauge with a pneumatic or hydraulic hand pump to provide an excellent solution for field calibration needs.

These kits are designed for generating and measuring specific pressure ranges:

  • Kits with ranges of 500 psi or below include a pneumatic hand pump capable of generating 0 to 500 psi pressure.
  • Kits for ranges of 1,000 psi or higher include a hydraulic hand pump included in the range of 0 to 10,000 psi.

Each kit includes the DPG210 digital gauge in the selected pressure range, the corresponding hand pump, a rugged carrying case, and a selection of fittings and hose.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The series supports measurement ranges derived from the included calibration kits: 0 to 500 psi for pneumatic applications and 0 to 10,000 psi for hydraulic applications. The gauge displays current temperature in °C (Centigrade) or °F (Fahrenheit Degree).

Power is supplied by three AA batteries or via USB2.0 at 5V Power (5V 0.15A). The device features a sampling rate setting ranging from 1 to 10, where the factory default is 3; higher values indicate a lower sampling rate for stability, while smaller values provide a faster sampling rate.

Media compatibility notes specify that the oil cup on hydraulic hand pumps is made of plexiglass. It is forbidden to contact volatile media such as alcohol, dimethyl pump, or ether to avoid damage to the oil cup. Users must ensure correct electrical connection and mounting method during installation.

User Interface & Functions

The LCD display supports multiple codes including Pressure Unit (MPA, PSI, mBAR, kgf/cm², kPa, mmHg, mH₂O, Torr), MAX/MIN pressure values, Sampling Rate, Current Temperature, Time, Set Function, Battery Level, Address Bit, Baud Rate, Record Function, and Communication Sign.

Button functions include:

  • POWER: Short press to turn ON/OFF.
  • SET: Short press for two seconds to enter set function; the 'SET' light turns on.
  • INCREASE (▲): Short press to increase value; long press for zero clearing.
  • DECREASE (▼): Short press to decrease value; long press to clear auxiliary screen record value.
  • UNIT: Short press to switch pressure units.
  • BACKLIGHT (💡): Short press to turn on the backlight; long press to keep the backlight on.

Configurable functions accessible via the SET menu include Maximum Value, Minimum Value, Current Temperature display toggle, Automatic Shutdown (AS-1/O), Address Bit (1~255 available), and Baud Rate (4800/9600/19200 available). The Address Bit and Baud Rate functions are additional features that need to be specified before purchase.

Installation & Handling

The product is a precision device; do not use hard objects to touch the diaphragm or disassemble. During installation, avoid excessive forces when installing or uninstalling threads and take special care with thread installation using a suitable wrench. After starting the gauge, it may take a few minutes to stabilize before working normally. Following installation, clear zero with no pressure applied as the gauge may be affected by installation stress.

Configuration Options

The DPG210 series is available in 23 enabled variants covering various pressure ranges and configurations. Model numbers indicate specific range capabilities (e.g., -005, -015, -030, -060, -100, -200, -300, -500) and suffixes denoting options such as 'A', 'G', 'V', or unit-based ranges like '-1.0KG' through '-10KG'.

Key configurable capabilities across the series include:

  • Pressure Ranges: Variants cover low-pressure pneumatic applications up to 500 psi and high-pressure hydraulic applications extending to 10,000 psi.
  • Housing & Dimensions: The gauge features an overall diameter of 155 mm and a height of 105 mm. Kits include a rugged carrying case for transport.
  • Power Options: Operates on three AA batteries or USB2.0 power (5V, 0.15A).
  • Communication & Data Logging: Optional Address Bit and Baud Rate settings allow for communication configuration; a Record Function is available via the LCD interface.
  • Accessories: Kits include pneumatic or hydraulic hand pumps, fittings, hose, and carrying cases depending on the selected pressure range.

Key Product Differences

Variants within the DPG210 series are distinguished by their specific pressure measurement ranges and included accessories. The primary variation is between pneumatic kits (ranges up to 500 psi) which include a pneumatic hand pump, and hydraulic kits (ranges of 1,000 psi or higher) which include a hydraulic hand pump capable of generating pressures from 0 to 10,000 psi.

Model suffixes such as 'A', 'G', and 'V' denote specific configurations available within the series. Additionally, variants with model numbers ending in 'KG' (e.g., DPG210-1.0KG) represent metric pressure range options. The inclusion of communication features like Address Bit and Baud Rate is an additional function that must be specified prior to purchase.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good looking product, but lacks some servicability The gauge was in-stock and comes in very nice plastic case and includes a UBS power cord for an alternate power source. It does not come with a calibration certificate, but that can be purchased for an extra cost. The temperature display is degrees C and can not be changed to degrees F. The owners manual does not provide calibration adjustment instructions, and Omega tech support said the gauge would have to be returned to their factory for adjustment, if necessary. I did not use the gauge and returned it to Omega. A gauge of this accuracy should come with a calibration certificate and allow for adjustment, if necessary, when it is re-calibrated.

The reading of gauge pressure is not stabilizing even after very long time. Model: DPG210

Asked by: Rohit Chauhan
Is the ambient or media temperature varying? The gauge has an rated operating temperature of -10 to 50C and a compensated temperature range of 0 to 40C. If you are out of the compensated temperature range the readings will vary with changes in temperature.
