Supported Applications

The Omega DVT Series Adjustable timing Electronic Drain Valves are electrically operated solenoid valves controlled by a solid-state electronic timer. They are designed to discharge collected liquids from receivers, separators, drip legs, dryers, filters, and other pneumatic equipment. The series is also suitable for gas and liquid applications requiring periodic flow.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The DVT Series operates with a continuous (100%) duty cycle. Standard power supply is 115 Vac, 60 Hz, though timers can be used for voltages from 24 to 240/50 to 60 Hz. The operating temperature range is 1 to 54°C (35 to 130°F). Maximum Operating Pressure Differential (M.O.P.D.) varies by model: DVT-1 supports 0 to 175 psi, while DVT-2, DVT-3, and DVT-4 support 2 to 300 psi. Standard equipment is supplied with NEMA 4 electrical enclosures.

Timing parameters are externally adjustable via knobs on the unit:

• Valve Open Time (ON): Adjustable from a minimum of 1 second to a maximum of 15 seconds.
• Valve Closed Time (OFF): Adjustable from a minimum of 1 minute to a maximum of 45 minutes.

The valves feature manual test/override buttons and light diodes for mode indication. Mounting position is flexible; the drain may be installed in any position, preferably with the solenoid system upright.

Configuration Options

The series includes four primary models (DVT-1 through DVT-4) distinguished by pipe size NPT and flow characteristics. All models utilize FKM O-rings and feature adjustable inlet/outlet connections of 360° with a solenoid coil adjustment of 180°. The cord set is also adjustable 360°.

Model Specifications:

• DVT-1: ¼ inch NPT, ⅛" orifice size, Cv Flow Factor 0.24.
• DVT-2: ¼ inch NPT, 7/16" orifice size, Cv Flow Factor 1.5.
• DVT-3: ⅜ inch NPT, 7/16" orifice size, Cv Flow Factor 1.7.
• DVT-4: ½ inch NPT, 7/16" orifice size, Cv Flow Factor 1.7.

Electrical Connections:

• A six foot, three-wire grounded power cord is supplied.
• Optional connectors include SV-CGC cable grip connector and SV-CC ½" conduit connector.

Key Product Differences

The DVT Series offers specific coil options to accommodate different voltage requirements. Standard coils are rated at 8 W, with replacement or alternative coils available for various voltages:

• SV8COIL-115AC: Replacement 8W coil for 110 to 120 Vac/50 to 60 Hz (Class F).
• SV8COIL-220AC: 8W coil for 220 to 240/50 to 60 Hz (Class F).
• SV8COIL-115/60HZ: 8W coil for 115/60 Hz (Class H).

Differences in physical dimensions exist between models, particularly the overall length of DVT-4 compared to DVT-1 through DVT-3. The series carries CE marking and a 1-year warranty.
