Supported Applications

The Omega HDC00125 Series consists of Hi-Density Multi-Purpose cartridge heaters designed for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) applications. These units serve as a solution for thermal loop systems where specific use requirements demand dependable performance in diversified industries.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The series features a standard 3/8" nominal diameter sheath with an actual dimension of 0.371" ±0.002" (9.423 mm). Standard models utilize a 321 Stainless Steel sheath material, while Incoloy® 800 is available on special order. The heaters are rated for applications up to 565°C (1050°F) working temperature.

Standard configurations include Type N termination with 254 mm (10") long leads and operate at 120V or 240V models. Watt densities vary by model, ranging from low-density options such as 3 W/cm² to high-density ratings up to 40 W/cm² depending on the specific length and wattage combination.

Configuration Options

The HDC00125 Series offers a broad envelope of configurable dimensions, voltages, and power outputs. Standard sheath lengths range from 25.4 mm (1") to 610 mm (24"). Other lengths up to 48" (1219 mm) may be available on special order.

Key configuration parameters include:

  • Diameter: Standard 3/8" (Actual 0.371" ±0.002")
  • Voltage Options: 120V and 240V models available across the series.
  • Wattage Range: Models span from low wattages (e.g., 30 Watts) to high-power units up to 1500 Watts, depending on length and voltage selection.
  • Termination: Standard Type N termination with 254 mm (10") leads; other terminations are available via modifications.

The series holds U.L. Component Recognized and CSA Certified approvals. Custom manufacturing to specific specifications is supported for specialized thermal challenges.

Key Product Differences

Variants within the HDC00125 Series are distinguished by sheath length, operating voltage (120V vs 240V), and wattage output. Model numbers follow a structured guide: HDC, where specific codes correspond to unique combinations of these parameters.

For example, the series includes models such as HDC00125 for a 1" length at 120V/50W and HDC00367 for a 7" length at 240V/350W. Some lengths offer multiple wattage options per voltage (e.g., the 2½" sheath offers models ranging from 100 Watts to 800 Watts). Certain high-wattage or specific-length configurations are designated for special order rather than standard stock.
