The Dwyer Model BPS-015 is a low-cost DC power supply designed to convert 24 VAC input into a regulated DC power source. It is used specifically for powering transmitters with 4 to 20 mA outputs in building automation systems.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The unit accepts an input of 24 VAC/VDC at 50/60 Hz and provides a full-wave rectified and regulated output. The output voltage is field-adjustable from 1.5 to 27 VDC via a potentiometer. Maximum current output is rated at 1.5 A, de-rated to 400 mA for non-isolated circuits. Operating temperature limits are specified as 32 to 130°F (0 to 55°C), with humidity limits up to 95% (non-condensing). The unit weighs 0.4 lb.

The series consists of the single Model BPS-015 configuration. Installation notes indicate that if the DC ground is connected to the AC ground, the fuse will open; in cases where AC and DC circuit grounds cannot be isolated, a shorting jumper must be moved from J1 to J2 with an additional jumper added to J3, limiting output current to 400 mA.
