Supported Applications

The Omega LC204 Series comprises high-accuracy miniature universal load cells designed for tension and compression applications. These surface-mount style sensors are engineered for industrial and commercial weighing as well as force measuring tasks. The series is specifically suited for test stands and installations in difficult locations where a compact package is required.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The LC204 Series operates within an ambient temperature range of -46 to 107°C (-50 to 225°F). Constructed from stainless steel, the load cells feature an IP65 enclosure rating. Electrical performance includes a minimum load resistance of 350 Ω and an output signal of 2 mV/V ±1.0%. The series supports excitation voltages up to 15 Vdc maximum (nominal 10 Vdc). Accuracy specifications include linearity within ±0.15% FSO, hysteresis of ±0.1% FSO, and repeatability of ±0.05% FSO.

Calibrated measurement ranges span from 0-25 lb to 0-10,000 lb (0-100 N to 0-50,000 N). Each unit is supplied with a 5-point NIST-traceable calibration and includes 59 kΩ shunt data.

The load cells feature a surface mount design with specific thread configurations for installation:

• B Thread (LC204/LC214): 10-32 UNF (6.3 DP min)
• A Thread (LCM204/LCM214): M12 x 1.75 (19 L)
• B Thread (LCM204/LCM214): M5 x 0.8 (6.3 DP min)

Electrical Interface Options

The series supports two primary electrical connection styles:

• Cable Style: LC204 and LCM204 units include a 3 m (10') 4-conductor shielded cable.
• Twist-lock Connector: LC214 and LCM214 units utilize a twist-lock connector. The mating connector PT06F10-6S-R is available as an accessory, along with the CA-4PC24-2-015 cable assembly.

• LC204 / LCM204: Standard cable style output with 3 m shielded cable; available in standard (lb) or metric (N) capacities.
