Supported Applications

The Omega 19 in Jack Panel Assemblies with Miniature Thermocouple Connectors provide a centralized interface for connecting miniature thermocouples to measurement instruments. These rugged panels are designed for rack-mounted or panel installations where multiple temperature sensors require organized termination points.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The series features anodized panels constructed from rugged 3.1 mm (1/8") thick material to ensure durability in industrial environments. The overall panel length is fixed at 483 mm (19"), while the height varies based on the number of connector rows selected:

• 1-2 Rows: 89 mm (3½")
• 3 Rows: 133 mm (5¼")
• 4 Rows: 178 mm (7")

Dust caps are included free with each panel to protect the connectors when not in use.

Configuration Options

The series supports a wide range of configurations defined by row count, total jack quantity, and optional cutouts for switches or meters. The model number follows the format 19MJP<ROWS>-<TOTAL JACKS>-<SWITCH CUTOUT>-<METER CUTOUT>.

Connector Types

• J, K, T, E, R, S, N, G, C, D, or U calibration codes (inserted in the model number)

Cutout Options

• Plain Panels: No cutouts; available with up to 120 jacks depending on row configuration.
• Switch Cutouts: Available for panels requiring switch integration. Switch sizes include 76 mm (3") and 127 mm (5"). Installation is included at no extra cost when a switch is ordered with the panel, though switches are sold separately.
• Meter Cutouts: A standard 45 x 92 mm (¼" DIN) meter cutout is supplied unless otherwise specified. Meters are sold separately.

Customization

Non-standard options include custom color-coded anodized or wired panels, available through the Custom Engineering Department with a minimum order of $1,000. Panels with switches and/or meters are not supplied wired; wiring is an additional cost.

Key Product Differences

• Plain Panel Configurations: Offered in 1 to 4 rows with maximum jack counts of 30, 60, 90, and 120 respectively. Heights range from 89 mm (3½") for 1-2 rows up to 178 mm (7") for 4-row panels.
• Switch Cutout Configurations: Panel heights increase to accommodate the cutout; a 1-row panel with a switch is 133 mm (5¼"), while 2, 3, and 4-row versions utilize either 133 mm (5¼") or 178 mm (7") heights depending on jack density.
• Switch and Meter Cutout Configurations: These panels combine both cutouts. A 1-row version is 133 mm (5¼"), while higher row counts utilize the 178 mm (7") height to accommodate up to 40 jacks in a 4-row layout.
