The Rotronic Series-PS-Container consists of disposable sample containers available in 14 mm and 40 mm sizes. These accessories are designed for water activity measurement applications within the food, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, and other industries.
Operating Conditions & Performance
Rotronic's complete range of products for measuring water activity supports a temperature operating process range of 0...60 °C and a measurement range of 0...1 aw. The system accuracy is specified as ±0.005 aw, ±0.1 K with a repeatability of 0.002 aw.
Response time for the associated instruments is typically 4–5 minutes after reaching a stable temperature. The measurement solutions align with ISO 21807 standards.
Configuration Options
The Series-PS-Container series supports two distinct container sizes to accommodate different sample volumes:
- PS-14: 14 mm disposable sample container.
- PS-40: 40 mm disposable sample container.
These containers are used in conjunction with Rotronic water activity instruments that feature interchangeable probe connectors. The broader product ecosystem includes options for cleaning or calibration via interchangeable reference probes, the AwQuick function for fast measurement results, and the Aw Equilibrium method. Software integration is available through HygroSoft software and a Smartphone App for iOS and Android.
Instrument connectivity in the supported range may include USB port/connector interfaces and Ethernet interface options depending on the specific model configuration (e.g., HC2A-AW-USB, HygroLab).
