The Omega OS303-Series is an essential infrared thermometer designed for non-contact surface temperature measurement. The series supports applications involving asphalt, oil, rubber, and concrete. It enables precise measurements of surfaces that are far away or at very high temperatures using a 12:1 distance-to-spot ratio.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The OS303-Series measures surface temperatures from -32 to 530°C (-26 to 986°F) with an accuracy of ±2°C or 2%, whichever is greater. Repeatability is specified as 1% of reading or 1°C, and the response time is 500 ms (95% response). The device operates within an ambient temperature range of 0 - 50°C (32 - 120°F) and a relative humidity of 10 - 95% RH. Storage conditions are rated for -20 - 60°C (-4 - 140°F).

Performance is subject to specific environmental constraints: the unit should be protected from electro-magnetic fields (EMF) generated by arc welders and induction heaters. Additionally, thermal shock caused by large or abrupt ambient temperature changes may affect accuracy; a stabilization period of 30 minutes is required before use.
