Supported Applications

The OM-PR Series is a family of battery-powered, stand-alone, water-tight pressure and temperature data loggers. Each unit is a compact, self-contained recorder that captures up to 64,000 samples of pressure and/or temperature, making it well suited to unattended field studies where a cabled instrument is impractical.

Because the logger is housed in a rugged submersible 316L stainless steel enclosure rated IP67, it can be deployed directly in demanding, wet, and submerged environments. A ¼ NPT male process connection lets it thread into pipes, tanks, and test fittings, and an optional garden hose adaptor supports water-system work. Vacuum-range models extend the same platform to sub-atmospheric measurement.

Each logger can be set to record both pressure and temperature or a single parameter to maximize storage, and is configured with the included Windows software over a direct USB connection. Two independent triggers and multiple trigger modes — instantaneous, button control, on alarm, time and date, and day of week — let the device start and stop logging automatically around an event of interest.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The OM-PR Series measures temperature over -20 to 85°C (-4 to 185°F) with a resolution of 0.1°C (0.1°F). Temperature accuracy is ±1°C, 0 to 50°C (32 to 122°F) and ±2°C, -20 to 85°C (-4 to 185°F).

On the pressure side, accuracy is ±1% with a resolution of 0.01 psia and repeatability of ±0.05%. Each sensor includes 150% Over Range Protection, rated to 1.5 times maximum, to guard against transient overpressure.

Recording behavior is highly configurable:

Sample rate: user-configured from 1 every 2 seconds to 1 every 24 hours.
Number of samples: 32,000 or 64,000, depending on setup.
Record mode: fill to end of memory or cyclic, by number of samples and time duration.
Alarms: 2 user programmable alarms, high or low.

Power is supplied by an included 1/2AA, 3.6V, 1.2Ah lithium battery, and the replaceable internal battery offers up to a 5-year life, rated up to 5 years at a 1 minute sample rate. Communication is by direct USB connection, and the included software runs on Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7 and 8 (32-bit and 64-bit). The enclosure measures 5.6 H x 5 cm dia (2.19 x 1.95") and weighs 0.9 kg (2.0 lb). The series is CE marked, an optional NIST calibration certificate is available, and OMEGACARE extends the standard 1-year warranty to a total of 2 years.

Configuration Options

All OM-PR loggers share the same submersible 316L stainless steel body, ¼ NPT male port, temperature performance, USB configuration, and recording feature set. The models differ chiefly in their calibrated pressure or vacuum range and in whether they ship with a NIST calibration certificate, following the model number structure OM-PR — Pressure Range — NIST Calibration.

Positive-pressure models are offered across an ascending ladder of full-scale ranges:

OM-PR35 — 0 to 35 psia.
OM-PR150 — 0 to 150 psia.
OM-PR350 — 0 to 350 psia.
OM-PR550 — 0 to 550 psia.
OM-PR2000 — 0 to 2000 psia.
OM-PR5800 — 0 to 5800 psia.

Vacuum-range models cover sub-atmospheric measurement: OM-PR760V for the 760 Torr vacuum range and OM-PR380V for the 380 Torr vacuum range. Every range is available with an optional NIST calibration certificate ordered as the matching -NIST model, which does not change the measurement capability but adds documented, traceable calibration.
