Supported Applications

The Dwyer Series 607D is a DIN Rail Mount Differential Pressure Transmitter designed to sense the pressure of air and non-conductive, non-corrosive gases. The unit converts this measurement into a standard 4 to 20 mA output signal suitable for integration into control systems.

Engineers select the Series 607D for applications requiring compact mounting on a 35 mm DIN rail within a panel. This configuration allows multiple units to be mounted closely together, reducing required space in electrical enclosures or control cabinets.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The transmitter operates with an ambient and process temperature range of 0 to 170°F (-18 to 77°C). Storage temperatures are rated from -65 to 185°F (-54 to 85°C).

  • Accuracy: ±0.25% FS at room temperature (RSS includes non-linearity, hysteresis and non-repeatability).
  • Stability: ±1% FS/yr.
  • Thermal Effects: ±0.01 FS/°F for temperatures between 20 to 170°F (-7 to 77°C), including zero and span.
  • Response Time: Approximately 10 ms.
  • Pressure Limits: Rated up to 15 psi (100 kPa).

The unit requires a power supply of 16 to 32 VDC and supports a maximum loop resistance of DC, 0 to 800 Ω. The circuit design enables operation in 2-wire current loops.

Configuration Options

The Series 607D is available factory calibrated across a wide range of differential pressure spans, covering both unidirectional and bidirectional (±) ranges from very low pressures up to 25 in w.c. The series supports the following measurement ranges:

  • Unidirectional: 0 to 0.1, 0 to 0.25, 0 to 0.5, 0 to 1, 0 to 2.5, 0 to 5, 0 to 10, and 0 to 25 in w.c.
  • Bidirectional: 0 to ±0.05, 0 to ±0.1, 0 to ±0.25, 0 to ±0.5, and 0 to ±1 in w.c.

Wetted materials include 302 SS, glass, nickel, silicone rubber, and brass. Process connections utilize barbed fittings for 1/8" (3.12 mm) ID rubber or vinyl tubing. Electrical connections are made via a screw-type removable terminal block located in front of the transmitter.

Field calibration is supported through zero adjustment potentiometers; some models also include span controls. Units feature red/green LED indicators to show proper transmitter operation status. The housing dimensions are 1-1/16" (27.00 mm) wide, 3-25/64" (86.00 mm) high, and 2-53/64" (71.70 mm) deep.

Key Product Differences

The series is distinguished by specific model codes corresponding to the selected pressure range:

  • Models 607D-01 through 607D-08: Cover unidirectional ranges from 0.1 in w.c. up to 25 in w.c.
  • Models 607D-11 through 607D-15: Provide bidirectional (±) capabilities for low differential pressure applications ranging from ±0.05 in w.c. to ±1 in w.c.

The transmitter carries CE approval and is not field serviceable; units requiring repair must be returned with a return goods authorization number. Optional accessories include an aluminum DIN rail (Model A-360) and NIST traceable calibration certificates (Order Code: NISTCAL-PT1).
