Supported Applications

The Omega CS060 Series consists of touch-safe enclosure heaters designed for use in enclosures containing electrical and electronic components. The series supports natural convection to generate a high air-current of warm air, maintaining surface temperatures on accessible side surfaces below 80°C (176°F), except at the upper protective grille. These units are engineered for permanent operation.

Available configurations include models with or without a plug-in thermostat (CSF060).

Operating Conditions & Performance

The CS060 Series operates on 120 to 240 Vac/Vdc, with an acceptable voltage range of min 110V to max 265V. Operating performance is reduced by approximately 10% when operating at voltages below 140 Vac/Vdc.

Performance parameters vary by model:

• CS0600 (50 W): Inrush current max 2.5 A; air outlet temperature 86°C (186.8°F).
• CS0601 (100 W): Inrush current max 4.5 A; air outlet temperature 120°C (248°F).
• CS0602 (150 W): Inrush current max 8 A; air outlet temperature 145°C (293°F).

Air outlet temperatures are measured 50 mm (2") above the protective grille. The series features a PTC resistor heating element with inherent temperature limiting.

Configuration Options

The CS060 Series is offered in three standard power ratings: 50 W, 100 W, and 150 W. Other voltages are available on request.

• Housing & Mounting: Constructed from plastic according to UL94 V-0 (black). The unit mounts via a DIN clip for 35 mm (1.4") DIN rail per EN 50022 and requires vertical fitting position.
• Protection Class: NEMA 2 (IP20)/II (double insulated).
• Electrical Connection: 4-pole terminal for 2.5 mm² wire, with a maximum torque of 0.8 Nm.

Physical dimensions differ by power rating: CS0600 and CS0601 measure 110 x 60 x 90 mm (4.3 x 2.4 x 3.5 in), while the higher-capacity CS0602 measures 150 x 60 x 90 mm (5.9 x 2.4 x 3.5 in).

• CS0601: 100 W output; dimensions 110 x 60 x 90 mm (4.3 x 2.4 x 3.5 in); approximate weight 0.30 kg (10.6 oz).
• CS0602: 150 W output; dimensions 150 x 60 x 90 mm (5.9 x 2.4 x 3.5 in); approximate weight 0.50 kg (17.6 oz).

All models share the same operating temperature range of -20 to 70°C (-4 to 158°F) and storage temperature range of -45 to 70°C (-49 to 158°F). The series carries CE, cULus, RoHS, and VDE approvals.
