Supported Applications

The Omega OM-CP-PR140 is a high-temperature pressure data logger designed for use in autoclave validation and mapping. As part of the NOMAD® family, this rugged, submersible device operates up to 140°C (284°F) within environments requiring IP68 protection.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The series utilizes a semiconductor strain gauge pressure sensor with a measurement range of 0 to 5 bar (0 to 72.5 psia). Calibrated accuracy is ±0.03 Bar (±0.435 psi) within the process temperature span of 20 to 140°C/68 to 284°F, with a resolution of 0.1 mBar (0.0015 psia). Repeatability is specified as ±0.5% FSR; ±0.2% typical.

Performance characteristics include a pressure response time of 0.1 ms (10 to 90% FSR) and a reading rate configurable from 1 second to 1 every 24 hours. The device stores up to 32,700 readings in non-volatile memory with software-configurable wrap-around capability. Time accuracy is ±1 minute/month at 20°C.

Operating environment limits are -20 to 140°C (-4 to 284°F) and 0 to 100% RH, non-condensing; the logger may be used above 60°C (140°F) for up to 8 hrs per 24 hr period. Power is supplied by a user-replaceable 3.6V lithium battery included with typical life of 2 years.

Configuration Options

The series offers configurable process connections and mounting options:

• Housing & Mounting: Flush mount (OM-CP-PR140) or ⅛ NPT pressure port (OM-CP-PR140-NPT).
• Dimensions: OM-CP-PR140 measures 50.8 L x 25.4 mm dia. (2.0 x 1.0"); OM-CP-PR140-NPT measures 58.2 L x 25.4 mm dia. (2.3 x 1.0").
• Materials: Stainless steel enclosure and wetted materials.
• Data Interface: USB connection via the required OM-CP-IFC400 interface cable at 125,000 baud; supports real-time recording with PC software compatible with XP SP3/Vista/7 and 8 (32- and 64-bit).
• Data Formats: psia, bar, mbar, atm, Torr, Pa, kPa, MPa, mmHg, inHg, inH2O, mH2O, foot, meter.

Optional accessories and configurations include the OM-CP-PR140-LUERFITTING (⅛ NPT to female luer lock adaptor), OM-CP-BAT110 replacement battery, NIST calibration certificate, 5 YEAR WARRANTY, and FDA 21 CFR Part 11 compliant IQ/OQ/PQ secure software validation workbook (OM-CP-SVP-SYSTEM). The OM-CP-IFC406 multiplexer interface allows up to 6 data loggers to connect to a single USB port.

The series distinguishes between two primary physical configurations based on the process connection:

• OM-CP-PR140: High temperature pressure data logger with flush mount design (50.8 L mm).
• OM-CP-PR140-NPT: High temperature pressure data logger featuring a ⅛ NPT pressure port (58.2 L mm).

Both configurations are available with or without an optional NIST calibration certificate, indicated by the suffix "-CERT" in model numbers such as OM-CP-PR140-CERT and OM-CP-PR140-NPT-CERT.
