Supported Applications
The Omega TAT4 Series consists of stainless steel tank immersion heaters designed for sanitizing sinks. These units are used for the sterilization of water tanks in restaurants, taverns, and laboratories.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The series operates within a process temperature range of 16 to 121°C (60 to 250°F). Each unit features a double pole thermostat with an over-temperature cutout. Electrical supply options are 120V or 240V AC, delivered via a standard 1.8 m (6') cord set with a grounding plug; NEMA 5 to 15P plugs are provided for 120V models and NEMA 6 to 30P plugs for 240V models.
Configuration Options
The TAT4 Series is available in multiple configurations defined by wattage, voltage, sheath finish, and physical dimensions. The series supports the following capabilities:
- Sheath Materials: 316 Stainless Steel (Electropolished) or 316 Stainless Steel (Bright Annealed).
- Power Ratings: Models range from 1000 to 6000 watts.
- Voltage Options: Configurable for 120V AC or 240V AC operation.
- Dimensions: Overall length (A) is fixed at 660 mm (26 inch). Insertion/height dimension (B) varies between 330 mm (13 inch) and 432 mm (17 inch).
- Watt Density: Specific watt densities per model include 14, 16, 56, or 65 watt/in².
Optional features available for the series include a pilot lamp to indicate heater on/off status and an adjustable stainless steel mounting bracket. Custom designs are also offered upon request.
Key Product Differences
Variants within the TAT4 Series differ by sheath finish, power output, voltage rating, and physical height (dimension B). Models with 316 Stainless Steel (Electropolished) finishes include part numbers such as TAT40001 through TAT40004. Models featuring a Bright Annealed finish correspond to part numbers TAT40005 through TAT40008.
Specific dimensional variations are tied to power and voltage combinations: units with 6000 watts at 240V or 1500 watts at 120V utilize a dimension B of 432 mm (17 inch). Units rated for 4000 watts at 240V or 1000 watts at 120V utilize a dimension B of 330 mm (13 inch).
