Supported Applications

The Omega XBUT D series Screw Connection Multi-Conductor Terminal Blocks provide maintenance-free, space-saving connections for high-density wiring applications. Designed to support multi-conductor capability with 3 or 4 wires per terminal without additional bridging, these blocks feature flexible plug-in bridge systems and large marking surfaces. The series includes tin-plated copper alloy metal parts and supports standardized testing configurations.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The XBUT D series is engineered for specific electrical ratings based on terminal width. Models with a 6.2 mm (0.24") width support wire sizes up to 10 AWG/4 mm², while models with a 5.2 mm (0.20") width accommodate wires up to 12 AWG/2.5 mm².

Electrical performance specifications include:

• Xbut4D Series Ratings: IEC 60 947-7-1 rated at 500 V / 39 A for wire sizes 26 to 10 AWG; UL-cUL rated at 150 V / 30 A.
• Xbut25D Series Ratings: IEC 60 947-7-1 rated at 500 V / 28 A for wire sizes 26 to 12 AWG; UL-cUL rated at 150 V / 20 A.
• Surge and Insulation: Rated Surge Voltage of 6 kV, Contamination Class 3, Surge Voltage Category III, and Insulating Material Group I.

The series supports a maximum load current of 39 A for Xbut4D models (cross-section up to 6 mm²) and 28 A for Xbut25D models (cross-section up to 4 mm²). Connection capacity includes solid or stranded wire from 0.14 to 1.0 mm², with specific support for stranded wires with ferrules ranging from 0.25 to 1.0 mm².

The series offers configurable dimensions and conductor counts tailored for DIN rail mounting on rails sized 35 x 7.5 mm or 35 x 15 mm.

• Xbut4D Models (6.2 mm width): Available in Gray or Blue, supporting 3-wire (Xbut4D12) or 4-wire (Xbut4D22) configurations for wire sizes 26 to 10 AWG.
• Xbut25D Models (5.2 mm width): Available in Gray or Blue, supporting 3-wire (Xbut25D12) or 4-wire (Xbut25D22) configurations for wire sizes 26 to 8 AWG.
• Dimensions: Heights vary by DIN rail profile: 47.5 mm (1.87") for 35 x 7.5 mm rails and 55.0 mm (2.17") for 35 x 15 mm rails.

The series supports a comprehensive range of accessories including end covers, plug-in bridges in various positions (2 to 50), test adaptors, blank marker strips, DIN rails, and end stops.
