Supported Applications

The Omega XB Series Screw Connection Disconnect and Component Terminal Blocks provide maintenance-free connections for electrical distribution in control panels. The series includes disconnect blocks (models XBUT4TG, XBUT4MT) designed to be bridged with standard terminal blocks via a double bridge shaft system. A component plug holder (XBPCO) is available to accommodate resistors or capacitors within the assembly.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The series features metal parts made of tin-plated copper alloy and holds RoHS compliance. Electrical ratings vary by model:

• XBUT4TG, XBUT4MT: Connection data rated at 500 V / 16 A for wire sizes 26 to 8 AWG (per IEC: Maximum Load Current 16 A). UL-cUL ratings for disconnect are listed as 600/16/26-10.
• XBUKK4DIO: Connection data rated at 500 V / 32 A for wire sizes 24 to 10 AWG (per IEC: Maximum Load Current 32 A). UL-cUL ratings are listed as 600/30/26-10.

The series meets Technical Data in accordance with IEC standards, including a Rated Surge Voltage of 6 kV and Contamination Class 3. The Insulating Material Group is specified as III/I for the XBUKK4DIO model.

Configuration Options

The series supports multiple connection configurations depending on wire type and ferrule usage:

• XBUT4TG, XBUT4MT: Supports solid/stranded wire (0.14 to 1.5 mm²), stranded with ferrules without plastic sleeve (0.25 to 1.5 mm²), and twin ferrule with plastic sleeve (0.5 to 2.5 mm²). Stripping length is specified as 9 mm (0.35").
• XBUKK4DIO: Supports solid/stranded wire (0.2 to 1.5 mm²), stranded with ferrules without plastic sleeve (0.25 to 1.5 mm²), and twin ferrule with plastic sleeve (0.5 to 1.5 mm²). Stripping length is specified as 8 mm (0.31").
• Mounting: Models are designed for DIN rail mounting on rails sized 35 x 7.5 mm or 35 x 15 mm.
• Test Access: Versions with test socket screws support 2.3 mm diameter test plugs on both sides of the disconnect point.

The series comprises three primary models with distinct physical and functional characteristics:

• XBUT4TG: Gray, 6.2 mm (0.24") wide disconnect terminal block for wire sizes 26 to 8 AWG.
• XBUT4MT: Gray, 6.2 mm (0.24") wide knife disconnect terminal block with a compact design and 16 A current carrying capacity; supports wire sizes 26 to 8 AWG.
• XBUKK4DIO: Gray, 6.2 mm (0.24") wide two-level terminal block featuring an integrated diode for wire sizes 26 to 10 AWG.

Dimensions vary by model and DIN rail height configuration:

• XBUT4TG/XBUT4MT: Width/Length is 6.2 mm (0.24") / 56.8 mm (2.24"). Height for 35 x 7.5 mm rails is 47.5 mm (1.87"); height for 35 x 15 mm rails is 55.0 mm (2.17").
