Supported Applications

The Omega Series U24Y175 Process Power Pack is a regulated power supply unit designed to convert AC input voltage to a stable DC output for transducers and transmitters. The series provides user-selectable input configurations suitable for industrial environments requiring 24 VDC excitation.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The U24Y175 delivers an output of 24 VDC at a current rating of 0.175 A with a voltage tolerance of 0.1%. Line and load regulation are specified at ±0.1%, while ripple and noise remain within 3 mV RMS. The unit features a temperature coefficient of ±0.02% per °C and includes output protection via current limiting and over-voltage mechanisms. Voltage isolation is rated at 1500 VAC.

Operating parameters define the case operating temperature range as -20°C to +70°C, with storage temperatures supported from -55°C to +85°C. The Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) exceeds 100,000 hours.

Configuration Options

The series supports user-selectable AC input voltage ranges configured for specific nominal voltages:

  • 105 VAC to 125 VAC (Nominal: 115 VAC)
  • 210 VAC to 250 VAC (Nominal: 230 VAC)

The unit measures 3" x 2.7" x 1" and weighs 10 oz. Electrical connections utilize a 6-32 Terminal interface with six terminals designated for AC power input and DC output.

Terminal Configuration

  • Terminals 1 & 4: AC Power (for specific wiring configurations)
  • Terminals 2 & 3: AC Power / Interconnects
  • Terminal 5: (-) DC Output
  • Terminal 6: (+) DC Output

An optional mounting bracket for the terminal strip section is available under part number U24-MB.

Certifications and Approvals

  • ISO 9001 Certified
  • CE Mark (upon certification)

Key Product Differences

The Series U24Y175 is a single-variant offering within this bundle. The unit requires specific internal wiring to match the input voltage: for 120 VAC operation, terminals 1 connect to 4 and 2 connect to 3; power connects to terminals 3 & 4. For 240 VAC operation, terminal 1 connects to 3; power connects to terminals 2 & 4.

Omega states that these products are not designed for use in human applications or medical uses on humans. Additionally, equipment is not intended for use as a "Basic Component" under 10 CFR 21 (NRC) in nuclear installations or activities.
