Supported Applications

The ACI PTP Series functions as a pressure transducer that accepts pneumatic pressure inputs and converts them to proportional analog output signals. The series is designed for applications requiring the translation of air line pressures into electrical control or monitoring signals.

  • Pneumatic input ranges: 3 to 15 psig (PTP 3-15) or 3 to 30 psig (PTP 3-30).
  • Local mechanical indication via an optional gauge installed in the manifold port.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The PTP Series operates within specific environmental and electrical parameters defined by its specifications. Accuracy is rated at 2% full scale at room temperature and 3% full scale across the operating temperature range. The unit requires a power supply of 24 VDC or 24 VAC, -6%/+10%, with a maximum supply current of 50 mA @ 24 VDC.

  • Operating Temperature Range: 35 to 120°F (1.7 to 48.9°C).
  • Storage Temperature: -20 to 150°F (-28.9 to 65.5°C).
  • Humidity Rating: 10 to 95% non-condensing.

Pneumatic and Electrical Specifications

The transducer features a removable brass barbed fitting in a machined aluminum manifold for pneumatic connections, compatible with 1/4" O.D. nominal (1/8" I.D.) polyethylene tubing. An integral-in-barb 80-100 micron filter is furnished to protect the sensor.

Configuration Options

The series offers configurable output signals and optional mechanical indicators to suit specific control system requirements. Output ranges are jumper shunt selectable from four standard analog options:

  • 1-5 VDC @ 250Ω
  • 2-10 VDC @ 500Ω
  • 3-15 VDC @ 750Ω
  • 4-20 mA @ 500Ω

Electrical connections utilize 90° Pluggable Screw Terminal Blocks supporting wire sizes from 16 (1.31 mm²) to 26 AWG (0.129 mm²). The terminal block torque rating is specified as 0.5 Nm (Minimum); 0.6 Nm (Maximum).

Optional Features and Accessories

  • Gauge Option: A plugged gauge port accepts a miniature 1/8" FNPT back-ported pressure gauge for local indication of branch line pressure. The optional gauge range is 0 to 30 psi with an accuracy of ± 2.5% Midscale (± 3.5% Full Scale).
  • Custom Calibration: Available upon request.
  • DIN Rail Adapter Kit: Model A/DRC 3.88 X 2.18 for mounting flexibility.
  • Transient Voltage Suppressor: Bi-directional, 56 VAC/DC, 1500W (Part # 142583) recommended when sharing power with inductive loads.

Key Product Differences

The PTP Series is available in two primary input configurations: the standard models without a gauge and variants designated with a "G" suffix that include an installed 0 to 30 psi gauge. The physical dimensions differ based on this configuration:

  • No Gauge Dimensions: (L) 3.25" (W) 2.18" (H) 1.87" (82.55 x 55.37 x 47.49 mm); Weight: 0.28 lbs. (0.1276 Kg).
  • With Gauge Dimensions: (L) 3.25" (W) 2.18" (H) 2.95" (82.55 x 55.37 x 74.93 mm); Weight: 0.37 lbs. (0.170 Kg).

The snaptrack material is Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) with a UL94 V-0 flammability rating. Agency approvals include RoHS2 and WEEE.
