Supported Applications

The Omega OM-CP-pHTemp2000 is a battery-powered, stand-alone pH and temperature data logger with an LCD display. It provides access to current readings as well as minimum, maximum, and average statistics for process monitoring. The device connects via a female BNC connector to OMEGA PHE-4200 series pH probes and other common pH, ORP (Oxidation Reduction Potential), and ISE (Ion Selective Electrode) sensors. Temperature compensation is automatic using an RTD probe connected through removable screw terminals.

Applications include environments requiring FDA 21 CFR part 11 compliant software validation via the OM-CP-SVP-SYSTEM package. The logger supports real-time recording and programmable start times up to six months in advance, storing data in non-volatile solid-state memory for retrieval via PC using included Windows software.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The series measures pH/ORP/ISE within a range of -2.00 to 16.00 pH with a resolution of 0.01 pH (0.001 pH) and calibrated accuracy of ±0.01 pH for pH, or ±0.1 mV for ORP/ISE. Temperature measurement utilizes a 100Ω Pt RTD input covering -40 to 110°C (-72 to 230°F), with a resolution of 0.01°C (0.001 Ω) and calibrated accuracy of ±0.15°C @ 25°C ambient (±0.015 Ω).

Operating conditions are specified as -5 to +50°C, 0 to 95% RH (non-condensing). The device features an input impedance of 10¹² Ω typical for pH/ORP/ISE inputs and exhibits EMI susceptibility less than 0.2 pH @ 3V/M, 80 MHz to 1 GHz.

Sensor Connection Requirements

• pH/ORP/ISE: Requires a female BNC connector. The pH electrode should have an output impedance less than 300 megaohms at the desired temperature.
• Temperature: Supports 2-, 3-, or 4-wire interface for 100Ω platinum RTD probes via removable screw terminals. Most 100 Ohm, 3 wire RTD probes will work if resistance between two same colored wires is less than 1 Ohm.
