Supported Applications
The Omega LC704 and LC714 series are high-capacity tension link load cells calibrated in tension, designed for measuring tensile forces ranging from 5,000 lb to 1,000,000 lb (0–2269 kgf to 0–453,721 kgf). These inline sensors feature a male-to-female thread connection and all-stainless steel construction for heavy-duty service. Documented applications include cranes, support rods in architectural designs, engine test beds, suspension bridges, and industrial weighing systems.
Operating Conditions & Performance
The series operates within an ambient temperature range of -34 to 121°C (-30 to 250°F), with a compensated temperature range of 16 to 71°C (60 to 160°F). Electrical performance includes a bridge resistance of 350 Ω and an output signal of 2 mV/V ±0.25% FSO, requiring an excitation voltage of 10 Vdc with a maximum of 15 Vdc. The load cells carry NIST Standard and CE approvals.

- LC704 Series: Features a 1.8 m (6') 4-conductor cable as standard. Additional cable length can be ordered by adding the desired feet to the model number.
- LC714 Series: Equipped with an integral DT02H-10-6P connector or equivalent, requiring a separate mating connector (PT06F10-6S).
Capacities span from 5K to 1M lb. Dimensions vary by capacity range:
- 5K to 10K: Overall length A: 146 (5.75) mm (in); Thread T1/T2: 1-14 UNS-2A/B
- 20K to 50K: Overall length A: 165 (6.50) mm (in); Thread T1/T2: 1½-12 UNF-2A/B

The series comes complete with a 5-point NIST-traceable calibration and 59 kΩ shunt data. An amplified 0 to 5V output is available by adding the "-5V" suffix to the model number. For calibrations of 150,000 lb in compression or capacities ≥300,000 lb (requiring the "-FS" suffix), consult sales for pricing and delivery.
