Supported Applications

The Omega LC401/LCM401 and LC411/LCM411 series are low-profile compression load cells designed for industrial weighing applications. These high-accuracy sensors feature all stainless steel construction, making them suitable for harsh industrial environments where durability is required.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The series covers a measurement range from 0 to 50 lb (0 to 23 kg) up to 0 to 400,000 lb (0 to 181,488 kg). Standard models operate within an ambient and process temperature range of -54 to 107°C (-65 to 225°F), with extended temperature options available. Performance specifications vary by capacity: linearity is 0.10% FSO for capacities ≤3000 lb and 0.13% FSO for >3000 lb; hysteresis is 0.10% FSO (≤3000 lb) or 0.12% FSO (>3000 lb). Repeatability is rated at 0.05% FSO, and zero balance accuracy is ±1% FSO.

Electrical characteristics include a load resistance of 350 ±5Ω and an excitation voltage requirement of 10 Vdc (maximum 15 Vdc). The standard output signal is 3 mV/V ±0.25%. Models are NIST Standard compliant, RoHS certified, and supplied with 5-point calibration data.

Configuration Options

The series offers configurable options for mounting style, electrical connection, capacity range, and output signal type to accommodate specific installation needs.

• Housing & Connection: Available in cable styles (LC401/LCM401) with a 4.8 mm (15/32") 4-conductor shielded PVC cable, or connector styles (LC411/LCM411) featuring a PTIH-10-6P twist-lock connector.
• Mounting: Features three mounting holes equally spaced on diameter 'G' with thread sizes ranging from 6-40 UNF-2 to ¼-14 UNF-2 (Standard), or M4 x 0.7 for metric models.
• Materials & Ratings: Constructed of 17-4 PH stainless steel with an IP65 enclosure rating.
• Output Options: Standard millivolt output; optional 0 to 5 Vdc output available (suffix '-5V') for capacities ≥5000 kg. Dual bridge configurations are available by adding the suffix '-DUAL'.
• Special Service Configurations: Overload stops ('-OL'), extended temperature ranges ('-TC1': -45 to 93°C; '-TC2': -45 to 163°C), and full-scale calibration above 300,000 lb within ±1% (suffix '-FS').
• Dimensions: Overall diameter 'D' ranges from 66 mm (2.62 in) to 254 mm (10.00 in); height 'H' varies from 32 mm (1.25 in) to 121 mm (4.75 in).

Key Product Differences

The series is divided into standard imperial models (LC401/LC411) and metric models (LCM401/LCM411). The LC401 family utilizes a 4-conductor shielded PVC cable for electrical connection, while the LC411 family employs a PTIH-10-6P twist-lock connector requiring a separate mating connector (PT06F10-6S-R) or cable assembly. Capacities are offered in discrete steps from 50 lb to 400,000 lb for imperial models and 25 kgf to 5000 kgf for metric models.

Models exceeding 300,000 lb capacity are calibrated to 300,000 lb by default; full-scale calibration above this threshold requires the '-FS' suffix. The optional 0 to 5 Vdc output is restricted to capacities of ≥5000 kg.
