Supported Applications

The Omega LCDA Series consists of Low Profile Bending Beam Load Cells designed for industrial applications. These sensors are constructed from high-quality alloy steel, nickel-plated for corrosion resistance, and sealed specifically for washdown areas.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The series operates within an ambient temperature range of 0 to 150°F (-18 to 66°C). Measurement is performed in compression with a rated capacity envelope spanning from 0-25 lb to 0-500 lb. The load cells provide a nominal resistance of 350 Ω and deliver a full-scale output signal of 3 mV/V ±0.0075 mV/V when excited by up to 15 Vdc (nominal excitation is 10 Vdc).

Performance specifications include an accuracy class of 0.03% FS, hysteresis of 0.02% FS, and repeatability of 0.01% FS. The series offers 0.25% interchangeability with a calibration certificate provided for each unit.

Configuration Options

The LCDA Series is available in seven distinct rated capacities: 25 lb, 50 lb, 75 lb, 100 lb, 150 lb, 250 lb, and 500 lb. Each model follows the ordering format LCDA-<CAPACITY>, such as LCDA-100 for a 100 lb capacity unit.

Physical construction features an overall length of 71 mm (2.81 in) and a diameter of 6.6 mm (0.26 in). The mounting dimensions include a 25 mm (1.0 in) mounting diameter and a 46 mm (1.81 in) body length. Wetted materials consist of nickel-plated steel with a neoprene boot.

Electrical connection is provided via a 6 m (20') 4-conductor shielded 22-gage wire cable. The series includes NIST certification and carries a 2 YEAR WARRANTY.

Key Product Differences

Variation within the series is defined by rated capacity and corresponding deflection values. The 0-25 lb (LCDA-25) and 0-50 lb (LCDA-50) models exhibit a deflection of 0.008 in. Deflection increases to 0.010 in for the LCDA-75 and LCDA-100, 0.012 in for the LCDA-150, 0.016 in for the LCDA-250, and 0.023 in for the LCDA-500.
