Supported Applications

The Omega NCH-11000 Series consists of natural convection enclosure heaters designed to maintain temperature within electrical enclosures. The series utilizes a ceramic heating element with electrically insulated, corrosion-resistant (anodized) heat-sink fins. A UL94V-0 high-temperature plastic heater guard protects against accidental contact with the element.

Operating Conditions & Performance

The NCH-11000 Series operates on a nominal input voltage of 100 to 240 Vac. The elements are self-regulating, providing higher power output at lower ambient temperatures and optimizing for low inrush current across the permissible voltage range.

  • Ambient Operating Temperature: -30 to 70°C (-22 to 158°F)
  • Storage Temperature Range: -40 to 70°C (-40 to 158°F)
  • Ingress Protection: IP20
  • Data Orientation Note: All performance data are for units operated in vertical orientation.

The series is divided into two temperature versions based on maximum body temperature at 30°C ambient. Low-temperature models (NCH-11000, NCH-11100) have a plastic heater guard that does not exceed 74°C (165°F). Higher-power models (NCH-11200, NCH-11300) allow higher power output with a maximum body temperature of 105°C (221°F).

Configuration Options

The series offers four primary variants distinguished by nominal power output and physical dimensions. All models feature an integrated terminal block with finger guard for electrical connection.

  • NCH-11000: 20 W at 10°C (50°F); Length: 97.5 mm (3.84 in)
  • NCH-11100: 30 W at 10°C (50°F); Length: 157.5 mm (6.2 in)
  • NCH-11200: 40 W at 10°C (50°F); Length: 97.5 mm (3.84 in)
  • NCH-11300: 65 W at 10°C (50°F); Length: 157.5 mm (6.2 in)

All models share a cross-section dimension of 35.5 x 57 mm (1.4 x 2.24 in). Weights are 100 g (3.53 oz) for the shorter variants and 160 g (5.64 oz) for the longer variants.

Typical peak inrush current values vary by model and voltage:

  • NCH-11000: 0.6 Arms at 230V / 0.8 Arms at 115V
  • NCH-11100: 1.8 Arms at 230V / 2.2 Arms at 115V
  • NCH-11200: 1.6 Arms at 230V / 2.0 Arms at 115V
  • NCH-11300: 5.5 Arms at both 230V and 115V

The product is supplied with a factory-fitted stainless steel 35 mm DIN rail mounting clip.

Key Product Differences

Variants are categorized by maximum body temperature limits. The NCH-11000 and NCH-11100 models represent the low-temperature version with a 74°C (165°F) limit, while the NCH-11200 and NCH-11300 models are higher-temperature versions rated to 105°C (221°F). Physical length correlates with power output: shorter units provide 20 W or 40 W, while longer units provide 30 W or 65 W.

Approvals and certifications include CE, UL, and RoHS Compliant (EU Directive 2002/95/EC). The series carries a 1 YEAR WARRANTY.
